READ HERE or  READ HERE or  READ HERE or READ HERE or READ HERE for starters....I hope this helps... :il:

Not really....It's all appears to be catholic doctrine, which frankly I believe is wrong.

you are certainly welcome to your opinions about the Church's doctrine. :t2:

I would venture to guess it's in the Bible.  So catholics view the bible as what exactly?  It is the only book that is God-breathed that I know of.

do you believe that Christ came to save sinners by dying on a cross and then to establish a 'BOOK'? I don't... :D

I wouldn't trust any other doctrice or book with my walk with Christ

so you trust yourself and your own self-interpretation of the bible, and you don't trust ANY Church or it's leaders? Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matt 18:18 . . . do you think that this is irrelevant in this day and age?

I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it. Matt 16:18

If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. Matt 18:17

For a whole year they met with the church, and taught a large company of people; Acts 11:26

And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they believed. Acts 14:23

Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them...Acts 15:22

so which church that Christ is leading DO you trust?

"Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" Acts 9:4 . . . Saul was persecuting the "church", not Jesus Himself, YET Jesus asked Saul WHY he persecuted ME (i.e. JESUS)? Jesus IS leading His Church into ALL TRUTH...and there is only ONE UNITED Church whom is following Him HIS way, fully, without questioning...that is what I believe, though ALL Christians, I believe, are united imperfectly through baptism (Matt 28:19). IMHO... :il:

as I do the bible and it blows my mind that others do.  People's tradition and teaching can be sincerely wrong
.

I completely understand...yet some people's private 'interpretation' of the great Bible can also be 'sincerely' wrong (2 Peter 3:16-17). They mean very well and are very sincere, and they ALL claim that the Holy Spirit is leading them, yet they ALL disagree with each other... :t2: The Holy Spirit cannot lie and cannot be leading many many people all into a 'differrnt' conclusion of what He means...His Word is perfect. There is ONE interpretation...not many, and the many ALL claim that their's is the ONE. They're only kidding themselves...but I guess if you hated the Catholic Church, it would be a much easier walk to just go with what YOU personally believe than to 'submit' and admit that perhaps you DO need a shepherd to actually lead you into ALL Truth through the actual "teaching Church" which Christ DID establish ... as He did NOT establish a book for all to follow... :il:

Humbly submitted...

those that have gone on ahead of us are not allowed to return to this earth, not yet anyways.... even Christ brought this up, when the Rich man wanted the begger to return to his brothers house and warn them.......

19 "There was a rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 And at his gate lay a poor man named Laz'arus, full of sores, 21 who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man's table; moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried; 23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes, and saw Abraham far off and Laz'arus in his bosom. 24 And he called out, `Father Abraham, have mercy upon me, and send Laz'arus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.' 25 But Abraham said, `Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Laz'arus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.' 27 And he said, `Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.' 29 But Abraham said, `They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.' 30 And he said, `No, father Abraham; but if some one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' 31 He said to him, `If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced if some one should rise from the dead.'" Luke 16:19-31 (RSV)

yes, you're right...He did not send the beggar to the rich man's house. What is interesting is that for some reason, the rich man didn't think that would be impossible for God to do..to send someone FROM HEAVEN to warn his family... Perhaps the reason the beggar was NOT sent to his family back on earth was that apparently they didn't listen in the first place when they had Moses and the Prophets, so why would they listen now to the beggar? IMHO...but apparently it wasn't inconceivable for the rich man to make the 'request' to send the 'dead beggar' who was at Fr. Abraham's side BACK TO EARTH to warn the rich man's family. :D

Although I believe God can use anyone, including Mary, for any purpose He chooses, we should not "seek out these things".  When angels appeared to people in the Bible they were terrified.  I would be too, I don't want to see an angel or the Blessed Virgin, but if God wanted me to see either, I'd see them.

If you will, I agree, though I also believe that people are still human...even those who witnessed the actual miracles had trouble believing.. 23 And Jesus said to him, "If you can! All things are possible to him who believes." 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, "I believe; help my unbelief!" Mark 9:23-24 . . . I think this father was being extremely honest and human... I think we ALL need help in our 'unbelief'...we all 'BELIEVE' yet we have parts in us that are 'unbelieving' . Just look at the thousands and thousands of posts here over the years...everyone seems to be looking for 'the answers'... :D

Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe." John 20:29 . . . I believe that our God loves ALL people SO much that He's helping us to 'believe' because God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Tim 2:4

I think if people find themselves in this situation they should immediately pray for discernment and ask God to remove "whoever they are seeing" if that saint/angel was not sent by God.

I agree, though many will discern YES and many will discern NO. I trust in the Church to tell whether it IS or it ISN'T...

I try to be very careful about what I say about these apparations.  IF some of them are sent by God, I do not want to offend Him and I'm also reminded of the sin of blashpheming the Holy Spirit.  I don't know if this falls into that category but I don't want to risk it.

AMEN! :huh:as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect; 10 but when the perfect comes, the imperfect will pass away. 1 Cor 13:8-10

called, do you think everything that I have said is garbage and is not worthy of reading, responding, or scriptural? Why or why not? You just simply disagree, it seems, and are unwilling to respond other than with the head-banging little guy. Are you afraid of something? I would like to know what YOU think instead of just the little head-banger....why DID the rich man think that the 'dead beggar' COULD possibly go back and warn his family?

I will not discuss any kind of Catholic Doctrine with you. It has nothing to do with being afraid of something and everything to do with using wisdom and discernment. I have already said what I think, I was merely trying to lighten things up. :D

my story is NOT catholic doctrine...I just discerned that ALL BY MYSELF from the scriptures this morning...so you still refuse to discuss it because you 'disagree' with it? Does my analysis have ANY merit? Why or why not? Do you believe that YOUR CHURCH teaches all truth? Or do you know ALL truth?

Obey your leaders and submit to them; for they are keeping watch over your souls, as men who will have to give account. Let them do this joyfully, and not sadly, for that would be of no advantage to you. Heb 13:17 . . . how do you comply with this, and don't tell me it's the POLICE... :D for 'police men' DON'T keep watch OVER YOUR SOUL...and will NOT be giving an account to God Almighty for you.

I see no point in discussing it with you. You are antagonistic.

Like I said before we can agree to disagree. :D

thank you for 'lightening things up'... it's SO appreciated...

One last thing...you said that you have stated what you 'think'. Is what you 'think' PERFECT TRUTH of what our Lord has proclaimed to us all, and is what you 'think' the same as what the Church has taught throughout the ages since our Lord's resurrection and established the Church... :t2: How can I be sure? :t2:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
