Me too! As for changing identity.....I tend to use a nickname online rather than my real name, purely for safety reasons.
Guest lovinghim4ever
I think there is much to benefit from being anonymous online. There are some things that we just don't talk about face to face at church, and the online anominity allows me to ask questions and for prayer about those things. I did it since I've been here but it was only because I just didn't LIKE my screen name and people always thought I was a man. I had to have a mod change it though. Worthy keeps a history of names used here by each member so, in that respect, there's no deception. On the other hand, most of us are using screen names because it just isn't a good idea to put your real name, address or whatever out there. You go GIRLS! And MG - people still think I'm a guy. I don't even talk like a guy. I don't think You don't sound like a guy to me.

It's too hard too keep up with and can cause problems. And MG - people still think I'm a guy. I don't even talk like a guy. I don't think Wow, I'm glad I changed my handle when I did then! Just so you know...you don't come across as a man; to me anyway.

I usually do not "hear" girl or boy in posts unless the subject is gender specific .. Like.." All the men got together and we had a great time." Traveller..until I started talking to you I always wondered with every post whether you were a girl or a guy.. Sorry... But now I know... I am sometimes concerned about security but there is no information shared here that would be something to worry about I don't think..is there??? I have only thought about changing my name a couple of times as my most common on line name is not tah .. but decided it really did not matter .. I am who I am , whatever name I use ... Sorry... But now I know... not a problem tah - "traveller" is pretty non-specific. As far as my posts, as long as you weren't thinkin "idiot" then I'm fine with it. You're a blessing, tah. Then I said something about Islam which I realized afterward might put my health at risk with the many Muslims in my city , so I decided I better stay anonymous. But my fellow-countrymen here at Worthy know which country I'm from, and they could always pm me to find out where I live if they wanted to . I wouldn't just trust a "newbie" at Worthy immediately, though - but eventually one gets to know which "newbies" are truly Christians and which aren't. I think it's just safer to stay anonymous because we don't always know who's reading Worthy Forums - and if ya ask me, these Forums get "watched" by all sorts of "interest groups".
