With all due repect how doest that constitute a great dinner conversation, though perhaps not entirely silent. Thanks for correcting me though. I was KIDDING! When it comes to talking, I can talk, only stopping for a drink, for 14 hours a day. Every so often....I get sick of listening to MYSELF! so are you saying that 'thinking' and 'talking' do not necessarily coincide for you? Nope. I'm saying I can talk ANYONE into submission. I was born that way. See here.... http://www.snotr.com/video/2630

Jesus takes care of my mind as He said He would. my point was that when i look back, i see how my thoughts have changed for the better without that struggle. i'm living proof we can count on Him to take care of that, i guess. Now, the title of this thread set me to wondering... 12,000 thoughts/day, divided by 24 hours/day, equals 500 thoughts/hour. Divided by 60 minutes/hour equals about 8 thoughts/minute... I think I can handle that, yeah.

Also, as I discussed with hunterpoet there are studies suggessting 50,000+ thoughts. Thank you for the passages. And how you handle the thoughts is the key and the point of the tale.
