Guest HIS girl Posted September 29, 2009 Share Posted September 29, 2009 Typical journalism by print and media - Watched two TV news bulletins tonight - NOTHING on the missile testing of Iran - Read a major newspaper as well and only the smallest of mentions about it and lost in the middle of the paper too... AND not forgetting the Philippines and aftermath of the flooding there - that was mentioned on the news only before the sports news...and that was ONE TV station only.... Amazing how differently "news" is viewed in various parts of the world. You know, just because we are on the underside of the globe, Aus needs to know that what is happening on the otherside is VERY RELEVANT to us - we share the planet and because of this, we share the future.. It's pitiful and shows how far removed society has become when nearly most of the focus for this week is the upcoming Rugby League (football) Grand Final..... PLEASE..... Australians are becoming so clueless when it comes to world news... Conversations always revolve around local or federal government policies and football. The news stations seem to only show what they think people want to hear... Things which directly affect us in Australia or sport. It's terrible.
