Many "Americans" today are all too happy to trade their freedom for the mere promise of security and happiness. Rather than using the freedom to make their own happiness they would rather settle for hand outs and dictates. Cartoon "make mine freedom" made in 1948 At some point we might find ourselves inclined to accuse these people of ignorance but the truth is that they have literally been blinded to the truth. There's not much we can do but pray to God that their eyes are opened.

Um. Absolutely not. In fact, it's people like him that caused me to resist receiving the word for so long. I'm definitely beginning to wonder how many people actually watched the cartoon in it's entirety. While they posed the scenario as a hypothetical it was still intended to ingrain in those who watched it a greater appreciation for the freedom that have. The characters in the cartoon, much like many today, are ready to sign away their freedom for the promise of higher wages, larger profits or less resistance from the voters but when they are given a glimpse of what life without freedom would be like they quickly change their tune. The reason I did not post is because it cause me to sit back and reflect on what freedom has meant to some. As I consider the situation of our present day living condition, that freedom allowed to happen, and compare it to loosing our freedom to a socialist government, I have to be completely honest and say that without the guidance of God, freedom is just as bad as no freedom. Look at what those who have freedom did due to their greed, envy, lust for life. No matter what you have, if you don't have God, it is all worthless.
