What personal 'Spiritual' experiences have had the most profound impact on you?

For me when I came to know the Lord in a personal way in 1975 was a profound moment for me, my life changed that day forever. It hasn't been easy but I know He has always been there, 'in computer speak' its like He is sitting in my system tray ready to take action whenever I never Him and even when I don't realize I need Him!

Another time is when I was baptized by submersion at a Jesus festival in a beautiful river with hundreds of other people there. And on the way home from the festival our car was hit by a drunk driver we were almost killed. Infact one of people in the other car was killed. There were beer bottles all over the road.

The first policeman on the scene was a Christian, he had just finished reading the book "Prison To Praise" The people in the house the accident happened in front of came out and gave us all blankets and were really wonderful. The Christian policeman was very comforting and kept asking me questions about the festival and he prayed with me.

God was even there with us during the horrible scary situation. I was with two girlfriends and we were all fine just bumps and bruises, my friend in the front seat passenger had a broken bone in the top of her foot but that was all. I wasn't wearing a seat belt but I was asleep in the backseat so my body was relaxed when we were hit, but I was thrown forward into the back of the front seat.

We were transported by ambulance to the nearest town and then released. From there we went to my friends parents place the one with the broken bone. One strange thing that happened that day my parents passed the car accident on their way to a family reunion but it was after we were transported to the hospital and they didn't recognize the car, but my mom had a funny feeling when they drove by that it was me.

But she didn't find out until the next day. I believe the Holy Spirit was with us in the car that day protecting us, I was still wet from being baptized because I had it done right before we left! The next day big handfulls of my hair fell out and I had the biggest bruise I'd ever seen on the back of my thigh and I was really stiff and sore for quite awhile after but we were protected there is no doubt about it! :)

One day a few years ago when I driving home from work with Jack, my carpooler, we were almost hit head on by a car that hit the center divider, spun around and headed right at us. We were doing about 70 mph at the time. I simply grasped the steering wheel and froze. But, my car veered to the right avoiding that certainly lethal collision by what seemed like an inch. Then, immediately after avoiding a head on, my car was right back in the proper lane. But the funny thing is, I never turned the steering wheel. Both Jack and I were amazed. We could only surmise one of our guardian angels took control of the situation.

One of my most remembered spiritual experiences was when I was filled with His wonderful and impowering Spirit.

i was down at the altar crying my eyes out and I just started speaking in tongues as if it wasnt me. I felt so happy and on fire for God at that moment.

I dont know if anyone here believes in speaking in tongues but I do and after that experience I have never been the same. His Spirit has given me the boldness to speak out on Godly things and to share with worldly people the good things He has done for me :)

Wow, where to begin? God is constantly reminding me of His greatness and truths! The first I would share is my conversion experience (I wrote about in in testimonials). But recently, just this past week at a music and leadership camp for teens in Peru, each prayer meeting I would watch the teens bow down in prayer, many of them weeping. I knew I did not speak spanish very well and very few of them spoke any english, but I decided I would stand beside them and pray anyway. I felt like God would tell me, "stand by her", "put your hand on his shoulder and pray for him", etc. so I would and then I would just pray in english. Each time, I literally felt the Holy Spirit on us and the language barrier did not matter one bit because it was not the words that was speaking but His spirit. Know what I mean? It was the most amazing thing. I learned that listening to Him was most important because He will do His work regardless of the "barriers" we humans percieve. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
