God's Word says that any divorce and remarriage is ADULTERY!

God makes it clear that He does not approve of divorce. In fact, He says He hates it. If God hates something, shouldn

How does that matter? We are all sinners, and if the pastor had commited said sin, it has no bearing on that marriage. The pastor is utterly correct in his stance.

There is no way that quote can be called "guidelines". Such thinking does the entire bible discredit. Applying such thinking, "do not murder" or "do not worship false gods" can be called guidelines too. There is no way to judge such things, so "guidelines" must be equally appliable to everything or nothing. Certainly mans thinking is far to flawed to be able to arbitrate on the Word of the lord.

Scripturaly I agree with what has been said; divorce for unbiblical reasons is not divorce.

However, I think an issue was brought up earlier, what has happened since the split? Is reconciliation possible? If the woman has remarried, shacked up, had sex, whatever, then indeed the guy could in that case have a biblical divorce.

It is a tough issue and congregations just need consistent rules, I wouldn
