I totally agree, but sometimes it's our own memories that can haunt us. Sometimes I still struggle with that...

[a] 2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. 9 If you make the Most High your dwelling

Do I feel condemned for taking the meds? I didn't until I met with that pastor. There is a battle going on and it keeps going in circles. I am questioning every move I make with medicine and therapy. I am so afraid that something I do God won't approve of. Does that make sense? I have to stop going in circles and I do apologize if I've confused and frustrated any of you. I just want Gods work in me and not my own. And right now I cant tell if I'm fighting with God or stinky pants (Satan). My husband was scared of my worst episode. He told me to go on the medicine. I'm sorry this has been all about me. This is very selfish of me to talk about myself all the time. I need to move on and away from all this. The hidden cause is robbing me of joy. I need to move on. Bless you all. Condemnation isn't from God. There is a big difference between condemnation and conviction. If you weren't under conviction to go off the meds until you discussed it with this pastor then to me that is a red flag. Please, Please, Please don't just stop your meds. I don't know your diagnosis but have worked as a case manager for the severely mentally ill. Some medications can not be stopped abruptly. You could cause more damage to your brain if it's an organic issue going on. I wish you could see the Christian psychiatrist I worked for. He could put your mind at ease and help you understand that mental illnesses are indeed a physical issue. The advent of the MRI's, PET scans, CAT scans have proven that most mental illness are simply a brain disorder like diabetes is a pancreatic disorder. In fact one of the issues in helping those on my caseload stay med compliant was to help them see that diabetics have to do specific things like eat a healthy diet, exercise and take their meds in order to control the symptoms. Depending on your diagnosis you may can work with your doctor to eventually go off meds. Always remember, that Luke was a doctor and that taking medicine if you need it isn't wrong. Could it be demon possession? Sure, but more than likely something triggered the onset of the illness by causing a chemical or hormonal imbalance. If you only knew how many of the people I worked with who ended up needing case management services when they stopped taking their meds after being "freed from demon possession" you would understand that this pastor could be setting you up for much more difficulties down the road if he has no specialized training in this area. Please discuss this with your doctor before stopping your meds.

Guest
Do I feel condemned for taking the meds?.... Stand Fast Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; Philippians 1:27 Keep The Faith Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. 1 Corinthians 16;13 Take Your Meds And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Luke 12:29-31 And Rejoice Evermore Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be Blessed Beloved Daughter Of The KING Love, Your Brother Joe Praying

She thinks that a combination of things are going on. She revealed to me a hidden sin that came in the form of an obsession. This in short was an obsession gone bad. I got in over my head with spiritual warfare. This made things even more confusing. My psychologist told me to steer clear of Warfare for awhile because it scares me. I have to resolve this issue and move on.
