Guest
><> You see.... you say it one way and state it as truth another way. Thinking it's the same. "Christ, Our Passover" 1Cor.5:7 - does not say Yeshua Is (THE PASSOVER). As you stated. The Word Christ is not Yeshua's NAME. Christ Is Yeshua's Title. "THE Christ Of God". - Lk.9:20 "Spirit Of God dwells in you, now if anyone does not have The Spirit Of Christ" - Rom.8:9,10 Many of the Jews wouldn't accept a Messiah who was God's Son. Because just a kingly messiah would be under the rule of Israel's temple priesthood. But Jesus came as High Priest Changing The Priesthood. Jesus didn't come to change "The Passover 0f The Jews". As it still is intact today. "Moses indeed was faithful in all God's House as A Servant for a testimony of those things which be spoken of afterwards BUT CHRIST AS A SON OVER HIS OWN HOUSE WHOSE WE ARE..." - Heb.3:3-6 Jesus did not eat the passover with a lamb of His family. But with His disciples. - Mk.14:14 Jesus said, 'many will come IN MY NAME, saying "I am the christ". Jesus didn't say, many will come in My Name saying I am Yeshua. <>< Dear One, Maybe This Will Help Maybe Not The Hebrew name for Jesus is Yeshua, a name found 27 times in the Hebrew Bible, so we know exactly what his name was. (The name is accented on the second syllable: ye-SHU-a). Yeshua is short for Yehoshua (= Joshua), which means Yahweh is salvation. The first trace of the name is found in connection with Joshua, the son of Nun, Moses' assistant. Originally his name was Hoshea (Num. 13:8). The name Hoshea is derived from the hiphil stem of the Hebrew verb "yasha" [yod, shin, ayin] (BDB, 446; Gesenius, 435), which means "he saves, delivers." So the name Hoshea means "salvation" or "he saves, delivers." Moses changed his name to Hebrew "Yehoshua" [English: Joshua]: >>>>>()<<<< In Order To Understand The True Words Of The True God Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Let me phrase it a better for you. Jesus (Yeshua) said, 'many will come IN MY NAME, saying I am the christ". Jesus (Yeshua) didn't say, 'many will come IN MY NAME, saying I am Jesus." (Yeshua) Yes, thats because there is only One Messiah "Christ" though many will claim to be Christ, also there are many who preach a different Jesus, than the Jesus we worship. This though is irrelevant to Jesus being our passover.

But for the believing Jew Christ is the Passover Lamb, and to the believing Jew Yeshua means Jesus not Joshua. The first covenant between God and Abraham was confirmed with the blood of a Lamb - in Issac's place. God sent the lamb into the thicket so that Abraham would not have to sacrifice his son. Yeshua the passover lamb, simply means, Jesus is our pass over lamb. Because Jesus is the Christ.
