I haven't.....but I still believe they exist. John 20 29 Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." Thank you man, I rarely hear this said and I appreciate it when it is said .

For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Rom 8:27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God "There are prayers that break the backs of words" - Spurgeon Fez, as a person who experiences this often, I can testify that there are not words. I might add that in my opinion should never be done in public. It's strictly between the person, The Holy Spirit Speaking and the Father. When I've been asked to pray in public, my mouth just dries up and I can't speak at all. I might add that I didn't ask for it, but it was forced on me one night in the mid 1980's and it's not something I can initiate myself...... it just happens. Sometimes I understand who/what it's for and sometimes it seems none of my business.. we are told to examine the spirits to see if they are of God or not! 1 John 4:1-2 4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. NKJV but it was forced on me one night in the mid 1980's and it's not something I can initiate myself 1 Cor 14:32 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. NKJV There is a discrepancy here I would search it out for your testimony is in contradiction to God's Word as this being of God.... Love Steven I know several other people who at times are used for intercessory prayer that tongues come upon them. In my case the very first time it happened, by wife and kids were in grave danger and my wife was in the process of making things much worse. I was about 1,500 miles away and it was about 2am. Guest
I've never spoken in tongues. Paul makes it quite clear that it is the Holy Spirit who decides who gets what spiritual gifts, and that's fine by me. I can't sing either, so I keep it to myself so the dogs don't start howling. Frankly, I've never worried all that much about tongues. God has made His choice of spiritual gifts for my life and that's that. Who am I to argue with God? Jesus knows what He's doing. I've moved a lot over the years, visited many churches while looking for a church "home", and there's some things that are a real turn off to me about the whole "issue of tongues." 1. Any church where I get told I'm not saved because I've never spoken in tongues. 2. Any church where they are not following Paul's instructions about the use of spiritual gifts. There's the idea of putting the good of others first in there. 3. Every time I meet someone who thinks they are not saved because of #1. You would be amazed how many people I have met like this, and its tragic. We are all different and are members of the same body with the gifts and abilities that God has decided we each should have. So praise the Lord and let's get to work sharing the Gospel like Jesus said . . .

"You call the gift of speaking in tongues a "doctrinal error". Show me where the Word backs up your claim." -------------------------------------------------- Tongues, is Biblical, but........what is practiced today, is not Biblical tongues. The Biblical gift of tongues is the supernatural ability to speak in a language, that you have not been taught. I speak English only, but if God chose to, He could give me the ability to speak Spanish, if some Spanish speaking people needed to hear the Gospel. The Bible says.......
