When you go to church, and you bring your bible, would it be wrong to use a kindle device for your bible in church?

This sparked a convo earlier. Im curious how board members feel.

I would say no. It is a bible nothing wrong it not being a book. Just like I don't think it is wrong when people use books lol.

I could see how it might be offensive in an Amish church, but generally, I think it is a great idea! Just tell them you are getting too old to lug those scrolls around :21:

i know a lot of people who use electronic bibles in church.... and this isn't just a recent phenomenon either. i have the bible on my phone. i thought i'd try that one sunday morning. ROFL, well, listen... now that i know what g's are, next time i'm getting a phone with four of 'em. i think the sermon was over before i could get the scriptures to load.

It would not bother me if someone used one. However, I know this is a pet peeve of some people, so neither would I bring one.

There's nothing wrong with it: if you like using it, why not? For me, I like having my Bible in the book form, that way I can flip through the pages quicker. I can see why some people would object, but it's still the Word of God, no matter what format--it just comes down to your personal preference! :)

Why would anyone object?

Now if it were a netbook / andriod tablet etc, and they were on facebook at the same time, lookout...

Can I play play station if the sermon is boring :whistling:

Seriously though, I don"t have a problem with it, not that I have seen anyone in my church, except one visiting pastor who had one of those apple things.

I can't imagine it being wrong or anyone even caring.
