I have often heard conversations between Christians (like me) and those who don't believe in God. I have personally tried to convince some of them by telling them that there is a God but most of the time they end up not believing what you have to say.

-Please do note that i speak as a man-

But i have realized that he that says there is no God is either blind or naive, because merely looking around your environment you would realize that their is obviously someone in charge... some of them even go to the extent of saying they need a personal encounter with this God before they believe - i actually laugh at that sometime - because as God is love he is also a consuming fire... there are millions of people in this world who believe in God and thousands of them only get the opportunity to a personal and up-close encounter with God, thousands are still longing for this encounter and thousands would probably not ever have such encounter (and they would still keep on believing) now what would give you the impression that if you don't believe in God it would affect Him in any way? What makes you think you are so special to the extent that he would spend a minute with you just to convince you that he is God? The truth is he doesn't have to prove himself as God, he was, is and will forever be God. Amen

As a matter of fact it is a privilege to serve God. Serving God is for our own good.

God loves you, he wants you, he wants to be your God, he wants to be a friend, he wants to be your father and he wants to be your all. This is the grace period, don't let grace run out on you!

Anytime I come across a unbeliever and they want to debate I stop and think.

Jhn 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.

Jhn 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Jhn 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

Jhn 15:21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

Jhn 15:22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

I have often heard conversations between Christians (like me) and those who don't believe in God. I have personally tried to convince some of them by telling them that there is a God but most of the time they end up not believing what you have to say.

And when a muslim (wiccan, mormon, satanist) tells you about his god, do you believe what he has to say?

Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself.

But i have realized that he that says there is no God is either blind or naive, because merely looking around your environment you would realize that their is obviously someone in charge...

And when some people do not interpret their environment as you do, are they always blind or naive? It will be a sad day when everyone thinks like this.

some of them even go to the extent of saying they need a personal encounter with this God before they believe - i actually laugh at that sometime - because as God is love he is also a consuming fire... there are millions of people in this world who believe in God and thousands of them only get the opportunity to a personal and up-close encounter with God, thousands are still longing for this encounter and thousands would probably not ever have such encounter (and they would still keep on believing) now what would give you the impression that if you don't believe in God it would affect Him in any way? What makes you think you are so special to the extent that he would spend a minute with you just to convince you that he is God? The truth is he doesn't have to prove himself as God, he was, is and will forever be God. Amen

There are billions of people in the world who believe in god. Many different gods. If some can be mistaken, they could all be mistaken. If god does not exist, he could not provide any encounter. Yet we have thousands of people that are willing to swear that they have had an encounter with their different gods. How can one tell the difference between one god and the next?

As a matter of fact it is a privilege to serve God. Serving God is for our own good.

That sounds very mercenary to me.

God loves you, he wants you, he wants to be your God, he wants to be a friend, he wants to be your father and he wants to be your all. This is the grace period, don't let grace run out on you!

If god exists, and loves me, and wants me, and wants to be my god, he can show himself to me. Anytime.

When i say God, i am nothing talking about several gods, or different kinds of god that people believe in... there is only one God, and father of all. Any other thing outside of the one true God is nothing! and i do not interpret the environment like you put it, look at the seasons, look at time, look at the mountains, the ocean, the numerous uncountable animals and plants, look at the stars, look at your body - there are thousands of cells, nerves, and neurons that make up the human body, the blood that runs in the human body, the water, the human skin, the complex mechanism involved in the simplest tasks we involve in as human tasks such as standing - do you realize that the muscle and bones have to be at the proper angle before you can stand upright? to sit down - the skin, the tendons, muscles, bones etc must work just right for this to happen... so, my friend... i can not do the work of convincing you - because obviously you are a critical person (seeing the way you analyzed my post)... but one thing i can tell you is... i know too much about Him and there is nothing to make ma doubt. May be if you can read the bible you'll find the encounter you so seek. Like i said, it is a privilege to serve God!

God Bless you.

When you say god, you mean your god, and you disregard all other gods. Why?

Do you deny that other people believe in other gods? Why?

If you can structure your alleged reasoning to arrive at your god, why do you deny the same structure that others use to arrive at their other gods?

You will need to do some heavier thinking.

This is the challenge, you think too much. You want everything to be logical... i said it before and i will say it again - i know too much about God and there is nothing to make me doubt. And as a matter of fact, i am not trying to convince you...

God bless you.

Had he made his accusations on a muslim, wicca, mormon or satanist forum or even your topic properly labeled for such debate I can understand your reply but the fact is he is a new member such as myself and we do not know how strong in faith he is. Brings the question why you are here? We as Christians get persecuted wherever we go. Be it into town or at home on the internet. We as Christians are always defending, upsetting, offending and apologizing for our ways and I just ask you understand. UndecidedFrog why are you on this forum if not to worship Christ Jesus?

He had made this claim:

I have personally tried to convince some of them by telling them that there is a God but most of the time they end up not believing what you have to say.

I was merely pointing out how unreasonable a claim that is, by using parallel construction. :)

Yes, he is a new member, who started this thread with an OP challenge to non-believers like me. The strength of his faith should not lie on denigrating others.

You, as christians, represent the majority of the population. You are not persecuted in the USA or any western democracy. Not having your way does not mean you are being persecuted. Insulting others with open challenges like the OP is not defending.

Yes, you have challenged me, and I have responded.

Yes, I think. I know some would prefer me not to think. However, I have a brain, and I must exercise it. I recognize that people are not always logical, and behave in very strange ways.

I appreciate the fact that you are not trying to convince me. I would appreciate it even more if you could refrain from insulting non-believers. We are not blind or naive. I am experienced and see only too well.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
