I think that's why it is overlooked. Who were the "saints" and how long dead had they been? And where did they go? And why is there no more mention of them? He was executed on the stake where the red heifer would have been burnt, the road that was called the counting of the heads or skulls, and not far from that was the grave yard I believe. That is a WONDERFUL proof that the event actually occured, for unless it really happened the Talmud would NEVER mention such a powerful evidence for Chrsitianity!
