We used to drink diet soda's, but I just can't stand the aftertaste anymore. I used to drink 2-3 per day, but now, I may have one a week and it's always regular.

Other than my regular cappuchino in the morning, I drink water these days. Soda, diet or not, only makes you thirstier in the long run. Soda is not and should not be treated as a thirst quencher.

Back 50's when they served sodas like Coke, it was served in a 6 ounce glass. It was meant to be sipped and savored. It was not meant to be guzzled from your 64 ounce jumbo gulp drink cup. Today a "serving" seems to be defined as a 20 ounce bottle.

I know people who drink diet soda or regular soda all of the time. I showed one of my buddies and his wife one day how much they had spent over the last 5 years. They could haved bought a car on the money they wasted on soda pop.

Snacks, soda at the vending machine and at the convenience store are such a waste of money.

Vitamin water is really good if you can afford it. It is not something I would buy just every day, but it is low in sugar and calories and it has some positive nutritional value.

If someone were to investigate what aspartamine, splenda does to ones brain, nervous system, and well just ones over all health and still drink diet sodas or anything else with it in it really doesnt care much about their bodies. My sister almost lost the ability to walk after drinking diet sodas for a decade, she finally stopped drinking them and can actually drive again. Nasty nasty stuff that no one should ever put in their bodies.

'diet' products are bad. They use synthesized sweetener, which is unnatural to your body. You don't get calories from these artificial sweeteners because your body can't processed them, but they do other damage to your body.

Besides, soda/pop/carbonated drinks are bad for your body. I think the reason there are so many people with osteoporosis because of these products leeching or preventing absorption of Calcium.

This isn't about being "food nazis." There have been warnings for years about the dangers of Aspartame.
