  1. I pray that he did truly repent and will stop with all of those silly predictions.
  2. We used to drink diet soda's, but I just can't stand the aftertaste anymore. I used to drink 2-3 per day, but now, I may have one a week and it's always regular.
  3. Yeah, from what I've heard, there aren't any ground breaking revelations here, it's stuff everyone already knows. The Obama supporters (i.e. the media) will write off anything negative that comes out about him anyway.
  4. My heart is breaking over this whole situation...it really is sad.
  5. Not all republicans are necessarily conservative, just as all conservatives aren't necessarily christians.
  6. Are you sure he isn't going to be tried as an adult? I thought for sure I heard that he was going to be.
  7. I really hope this is the true reasoning behind it. I'm still praying that when the attacks do happen...and I believe they will, that the U.S. will stand behind Israel. If not, the downfall of this nation will be complete. This article is not about the U.S. not standing behind Israel. I understnad that...I'm just hoping that what the article says is true.
  8. Keep praying...if we cut off ties with Israel, we would completely fall off the slippery slope we are already on.

  10. My heart breaks for the victims of this tragedy and my prayers go up for them and their families. Sadly, we as a nation have brought these things upon ourselves...we have completely removed God from our public schools and are now wondering why evil and wickedness are abounding. It is tragic and very disturbing, but we are in the midst of reaping what we have sewn. Unless we repent, things will get worse, not better.
  11. Well, I guess we should just cancel the election then.
  12. I find it very strange when people say that the Old Testament isn't relevant for today...to great a true understanding of the New Testament, you have to understand the Old Testament.

    BOOKS

I haven't read the book, but it sounds like it advocates "home churches" and small groups as opposed to the traditional church, correct?

    Anglican Church

I would include the word "some" in your statement above. I have found that blanket statements quickly are proven to be lies. I agree that some churches are turning from the truth, but not all. I didn't say all churches, I said mainline churches and that's a huge difference. The mainline denominations have become so liberal and strayed so far from the truth they are unrecognizable from what they once were. The gospel is no longer even present in a lot of those churches...see the article above.

    Anglican Church

It appears as though mainline churches are moving further and further away from the truth ever day all in the name of political correctness.
  16. We truly need to keep out brothers and sisters around the world in prayer.; we have no idea the amount of persecution that is suffered in the name of Jesus. We are blessed to live in a country where we still have the privilege of worshiping the Lord without fear.
  17. So you are saying that Catholics go to hell? I am no expert on Catholicism, but from what I understand, Catholics trust in keeping sacraments to maintain their salvation, which is a whole lot different than trusting in Jesus. If true, that isn't the biblical way to salvation. I don't believe all Catholics go to Hell, just like I don't believe all Baptist go to Heaven. It's a matter of where your trust is.
  18. I have never seen any president "apologize on behalf of my country" so much in my life. I truly pray that people will wake up in the next nine months and see this man for what he is.
  19. I can defintely find better uses for the money the Lord has provided me.
  20. The "theology" taught in the public schools is way different also.
  21. This is only my opinion, but I consider a casual christian a person who does not really live the christian life. They don't witness to people, they don't regulary go to church, they don't regularly read the bible, they don't regulary pray, etc. They DO believe and have a relationship with Christ, but the fire of god has died to a little candle and they mostly go through the motions. But how can you have a relationship with someone and never want to spend any time with them? I just don't understand how someone knowing the price Jesus paid for them would not want to follow him, out of graititude if nothing else. I just have a hard time grasping the concept of a "casual Christian", unless they have honestly been decieved to the point they don't think it's necessary.
  22. I saw the term "casual Christian" mentioned in another thread and was wondering what everyone's opinion on that is. Is it really possible to be a "casual Christian"? Is it a term only used to describe some in the United States? Isn't easier to be a Christian in the U.S. than probably anywhere else in the world? I doubt very seriously if there are any "casual Christians" in places like North Korea, Iran, Iraq, or China where it could cost you your life for being a follower of Jesus.
  23. Even though they do tend to lean towards the right, Fox News is still part of the mainstream media and they don't like it when their people stray from the norm. It doesn't matter if they call themselves Fox, CNN, MSNBC, or whatever, they are all the same and you aren't going to get the truth out of any of them.
  24. Amen. As bad as things appear at times, I always try to remember that.
