Got this off of a website...

WATCHMAN/ACCOUNTABILITY STREAM

The David Wilkersons, the Prophecy Club, the callers to repentance and revival, those who track the new world order, those who are seeking to bring reform in the way the church does business. These are the standard bearers and raisers, and those that warn about the occult witchcraft and Jezebel.

THE COUNSELING STREAM

This is the Elijah house stream, the ministers of deliverance who understand the psychology of scripture and flow in gifts that help unshackle individuals. These are those who look for root causes, and are not swayed by the smoke behind the fire. These dare to deal with MPD and charismatic double-mindedness and codependency.

THE SEER STREAM

These are those who are driven in life by dreams and visions, and symbol interpretation, and the nuances of daily living which take on prophetic significance. To these individuals the spiritual world is more real than the natural and you can see that in their daily conversation.

THE DAVIDIC WORSHIP AND PRAYER STREAM

These are those focused on worship, original music, intercessory prayer networks, ministry to the Lord first, youth revival, and ministries that go into the school systems and impart destiny.

THE APOSTOLIC STREAM OF THE PROPHETIC

This stream is identified by various prophetically oriented movements and their leadership. These are the localized revivals, and the message oriented movements that eventually spawned churches, but were not originally birthed with the intent of forming church networks. The latter day movement was one of these streams as well as the pentacostal and charismatic movements. Here certain truths were restored. We would never have the emphasis on Davidic prayer and worship without the charismatic movement's emphasis on contemporary praise.

THE PROPHETIC ENABLING STREAM

These focus on teaching and labbing the gifts of the spirit and the truths about five fold ministry. Bill Hamon's stream of the prophetic is a good example... the bubble forth prophetic. This was the prophetic stream more common to my house church movement of the '70s., where destiny is prophesied over individuals, and gifts encouraged.

So, what do I do when I see myself in one of those streams? Specifically, the description of the seer (dreams and visions). What do I do with what I'm seeing? I've been writing it down, but it doesn't always make sense. Sometimes, within a few days, I will get confirmation from God about what the dream/vision meant, but quite often I don't for quite awhile. Any thoughts on this? Does anyone have suggestions about where to go for more info? Thanks. I can be reached at ckloft@hotmail.com .

What type of site did this come from? Sounds like a false teaching stream to me.

That wasn't nice Katy, and you sound like a very nice person. Is prophecy a no-no where you come from? Let me predict this and say "Yes!" Prophecy is not to be done.

Can I ask if you also listen to Hank Hannegraf, or go to web sites on the cults? Let me predict and say "Yes!"

See, there are prophets in the world today.

I am part of the "Smart-alec stream!"^_^ Gotta love me! No one else will. And before you react to this polluted stream, make sure it is the water that is dirty, and not the people gathering around the water testing it for any toxins they can find. :x: (That would be the Heresy Hunters who are always looking for what is wrong with the waters, while ignoring their own filth getting into the stream.)

Have fun!

I didn't want her to negate your excellent post. Usually when challenged by my sort of person, ;) heresy hunters run for their lives or they find out how little they actually learned on those sites. I am usually able to sink to levels that only those in the smart-alec stream can go to.

1jo 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Well that verse all but destroyed all the ministries that Jaime listed. In fact, I can see the cover page of Charisma.

"David Wilkerson resigns after being exposed for being a false prophet! Promises to name his next book 'I didn't know there were fakes out there!' He has also settled out of court with Eric Estrada and Pat Boone for making a movie about his ministry while being a false prophet. Their careers have suffered immeasurably because of this revelation. (Sorry, we did not mean to use the word 'revelation' with this scandal going on! We will scale down any use of prophetic terms in the future. Ooops, we failed again in predicting the future.)"

"Elijah House closes doors because verse in scripture invalidates their ministry!"

"Kansas City Prophets on their face in shame after being cornered with Biblical references of there being false prophets in the world. They predict hell for themselves and sainthood for the person who did them in. Pope Paul has already sent the papers to the Cardinal College."

"Mike Bickle who has led 24/7 worship for several years has stopped such activity as worshipping Jesus around the clock because their are false prophets in the world. Promises to keep worship to 3 songs on Sunday just like it has always been, and apoligizes for excessive worship."

"Bill Hamon just hopes and prays for forgiveness for prophecying when there are false prophets out there. Bill's wife proclaims "I knew it! No one could be that sweet, and not be a false prophet! Bill predicts Gods love in spite of his mistakes for believing in I Corinthians about "I wish all would prophecy." He explains that when Paul said that, he actually believed that Paul meant him, and not just "all." He promises to say several "Hail Marys" and will rub a hole through his rosary."

Scudbuddy, i would say you are functioning in your giftings quite fluently!

The article is about the function of different gifts having to do with prophecy, this wasn't a prophecy :) . From what i have observed in my christian life, i find it to be right on the money.

You know what one of the greatest heresies is? Something God hates according to Proverbs? One who stirs up discord among the brethren.

The Word describes Satan as going to and fro looking to accuse us.

The Word calls Satan "The Father of Accusers."

The Word calls the Saints to not bring accusation against the brothers lightly. Mt. 18 even gives us the guidelines to do so. Paul tells us not to do it without bringing an elder with you when you accuse someone in leadership.

So if any of you out there wonder why I come down hard upon this sort of thing, here is why. Without knowing anything specific about any of these people, they have been called "False Prophets." Is David Wilkerson a "False Prophet" to most of you? Are any of you who read this going to join in in outrage about this, or is it no big deal?

Is this how we handle the reputations of brothers who have given their lives over to preaching the Gospel. One of the men that was slandered I know is the most legitimate ministry I have ever personally witnessed. I know his ministry very well. I have been in the homes of his people, and his leaders. He has 40 groups of men and women with 10-40 in each group who at the least meet once a week for two hours praying, and many of these groups of his meet everyday for 2 hours a day seeking the Lord, praying the scriptures, and laying at His feet. A huge amount of them fast more than any church I have ever seen. And as an evangelist, I have seen a lot of churches. I have never witnessed or even heard of him using his posistion to fleece the flock, and I have seen him repent when it was the accuser who was wrong, because of his humble spirit. Not once has he exhibited any traits of a false prophet. And he never begs for money. These are the marks of such men.

To bring charges against this humble man and the people he pastors brings the fear of God on me just to hear it. I have seen the holiness lived out in their lives. Many of these saints have given up so much to seek after God. So when they are accused by someone who knows nothing about them other than they practice the prophetic gifts, and the only accusation this person can come up with is "There are false prophets out there!" Well, it doesn't sit right. It will be vigorously challenged. Her charge that they are false prophets because the bible says there are false prophets in the world is like saying Billy Graham is a fake because the bible says there are those who are wolves in sheeps clothing.

In the meantime the verse "God hates those who sow discord among the brethern" rings in my ears. This is the fruit of the Heresy Hunting ministries. This is their legacy. They have legitimized "The ministry of Accusation."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
