You might say hello before posting your demands. Just a thought.

After introducing yourself, why don't you tell us what you think about the subject you posted first?

well, there are so many things to say than time can allow to post. but to start with, absenteeism cripples one's ability to perform better in school.

Obviously, if you are not at school your ability to preform is, well, nil. But if you don't have time to flesh out post's, then why post?

Also I know you have just recently joined, and welcome, but just some advice. There are different sections that are appropriate for different subjects. This section for instance is for new members to welcome themselves and to be welcomed by other members. I suggest in future that you assess the subject matter you wish to post and then look for the relevant section on the boards.

Blessings and welcome to Worthy.

By the way, welcome to worthy....

Your question is kind of broad.... are you speaking as a parent and what you can do to make sure you kids are in school, or do you want to know what the school should be doing, or the state.

Here in Oklahoma, teachers notify the principles each day who is and who is not there. If the kids miss to many days (I'm not sure what the limit is) the Department of Human Services is notified. They contact the parents and work with them to assure the students attend classes....... ultimately if necessary the police get involved for it's illegal for kids to miss to much school. Parents have spent time in our county jail for not controlling thier school attendance and the kids can be removed from thier home and put in foster care or worse.'

We have a facility for those who just refuse, and it's not a pleasant place to be. One of those not so good places my old career would occasionally take me as part of my work schedule.

Proud Kenyan, just a note so we understand each other. between your name and your demand for someone to help you, it really came across to me as rather arrogant. Somewhere in your post the word please would have made all the difference in the world.

just on a side note, are you Barack Obama???
