Something odd happened the other morning

Something really odd happen to me the other morning. I guess for anyone to understand I should tell you about something that happened to me when I was about seventeen or eighteen years old. I wasn't a Christian then, but I did believe in God. I use to pray to Him every night. one night I was really up set about something that happened that day and as I said my nightly prayer I stopped in the middle of it and said why should I pray to you? I don't even know if your really there. I closed my eyes again to finish the prayer I guess mostly because I was taught me. When I closed my eyes I was suddenly in a world that was so amazing. I was standing by a beautiful lake and my first thought was this isn't right. I'm not really here I'm laying in my bed back at home. The colors in this place was so bright. I've never seen any colors like these before or since. I turned from the lake and saw a baby deer eating grass and I thought how beautiful. Then I saw at the corner of my eyes something move and when I turned toward it I saw a lion moving slowing toward this baby deer. My first thought was man now it's going to kill that poor little deer, but it just walked behind it and laid down. I was completely surprised, but then it roared and I thought ok here it come it's going to kill it now, but it didn't. It just licked its pawn and laid down and closed it's eyes. I should have been afraid of this lion because it was closed to me, but I wasn't afraid at all. I was more fascinated with what it would do to the poor baby deer to be concern with what it would do to me after. Any way all this time the baby deer didn't stop eating the grass. It was like it didn't even know that it was there. I watched them for a while before I started looking around me again. I started walking as I looked around. As I walked I looked down at the grass and suddenly two feet appeared in front of me. When I saw those feet I immediately fell to my knees with my head bowed. I didn't see Him move, but I felt a hand over my head as He said arise my child. don't knee before me. I started getting to my feet slowly as my eyes moved up His body. When I was eyesight to His chest He put His arms around me and pulled me toward Him. As He held me He said I LOVE YOU. The emotions that ran through me was so powerful that I shot up in bed grasping for air. It was amazing. I felt love, peace, acceptence, forgiveness all rolled up into one emotion. I think a part of me have been looking for that ever since and I know that I won't feel it again until I'm with Him in heaven.

That leaves me with want happened the other morning. For the past month on and off I'll pray that I'd get to see Him again. This morning it was raining really hard. I could hear it in my bedroom. It was a little after five in the morning. I woke up and saw this light next to my bed. The light filled the whole corn of the room and in the light was another light. This light was in the form of a man. I could see the outline of His body. I could even see the outline of His hair, but I couldn't see His face. When I saw this light the first thing that came to my mind was Jesus. Infact I said His name.... Jesus. I turned from the light and looked at my comcast box to see the time. It was a little after five in the morning. I turned back to this light and watched it for a little while longer. He was just standing there watching me. I closed my eyes, but I kept asking my self. Is that Jesus....thats Jesus. I opened my eyes again and He was still there. Just standing there watching me. I said His name again then went back to sleep. When I woke up the next morning the first thing I did was look at the spot where He'd been standing. It was so close to my bed, but as He stood there He seemed so far away from me. Infact that is one of the things that ran through my mind as I looked at Him that night. Why are You so far away? I usely sleep with my TV on at night and when I woke up the TV was turned off. Sometime during the night we had a power surg that turned off ever electically thing in the house. I didn't even notice the TV turned off until I woke up the next morning. He seem so far and yet he was so close. So close that I could have reached out and touched Him.

Maybe this happened to reassure me that even when I think He's far away all I have to do is reach out, because He's close enough to me to touch.

You kept saying "He was so far away". Please pray that God give you understanding of this apparition. I have no special insight into what occurred, yet I believe it could have very well happened. But don't use your own understanding to interpet what it means, pray that God reveal it to you instead.

Keep reading your bible and praying, and trust the Lord in all things.

The power went out and back on again. I didn't realize that it had even happened until that morning when my aunt said something about it. I'll pray about this.

Quite an amazing story. I am inspired. Surely we are reminded that we need not fear that which cannot destroy our spirit. As long as our faith and love for God is strong we are immune. In situations like that I can only trust my heart to see the truth of it.
