The one in Rev is not speaking about a bride but is speaking about the being clothed in Righteousness and they are warned not to get their garments of righteousness soiled. In Matt the Lord comes as a thief in the night the one in Rev he just comes as a thief. 2 separate times and scenarios.

So the timing of His Second Coming is known The armies of the earth are gathered to fight Satan, the beast and the false prophet, not Israel, then they see Christ in the sky above them and fight against Him. Whats with the clothes? Heat index. Rev 16:8 - The 4th angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire. They were seared by intense heat.... Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed." I am curious as to interpretations of why this verse appears here at this time. well he already snuck in and grabbed his pretribbers.........this is refering to one of the many other second or third comings of the Lord
Guest
The many other second or third comings? The pre-wrath rapture theory. Go something like this? The church go through the first half and a significant part of the second half of the 70th week. Threre are 3 distinct and identifiable periods, "the beginning of sorrows", the Great Tribulation, and the Day of the Lord. The second coming and rapture are one event lasting about 11/2 years with 4 comings of Christ within the confines of that one second coming. At the first of these 4 comings Christ returns to take His people to heaven. At the 2nd, which ends the 70th week, He will descend to earth bringing salvation to Israel, and will remain on earth for 6 days before returning to Heaven. A 3 day period for reclaiming the earth by the Lord will occur when the bowl judgments are poured out following the end of the 70th week. The third of the 4 comings takes place after the 30 day period, when Christ returns with His angels to defeat the Antichrist at Armageddon. This victory will be followed by a 45 day period, after which Christ will return to Heaven. At the 4th coming Christ will return to the earth with his bride to rule the world during the millennial kingdom. That is a unique position.
