Maybe present day theology is the reason for being a bit mixed up.

Jesus speaks about these things to his disciples and tells them what to do with them.

Jesus Chirst is the way, the truth, and the life. No body goes to the Father, except through the Son.

The bible says that John the Baptist was the spirit of Eli'as. Jesus told his disciples that Eli'as has already come. John the Baptist was beheaded.

1st death; Romans ch 6; one is required to die to self (the flesh), the old man is dead in Christ on the cross in his death, and a spirit man (the Holy Ghost) is resurrected in (the believer), being born in the Spirit, a few days after earnest confession of Jesus Christ being Lord and Savior of that pesons life.

Jesus tells us in the scripture; If any shall come after me; Deny the flesh, pick up your cross and follow me.

If one indeed follows after him, we follow after him in his Spirit. "what is flesh, is flesh; what is spirit, is spirit." Not yeilding ourselves to the same ole man we once was, but denying the flesh of selfishness, worldliness.... we have been made a new creature in Jesus. We are dead in him, the old man is passed away with him on the cross. Hanging your old man on the cross with him and being resurrected a new creature in his Spirit.

As we live, move and breath; we do so unto God.

The two witnesses are speculated to be several potential characters from the OT, and NT. It causes a lot of debate that I would rather avoid. My question is, how will we know they are here, or how will we know them. Will they be like John the Baptist?

Well, they'll be dressed in sackcloth, standing on the streets of Jerusalem prophesying. Anyone who tries to harm them will die, they will be able to bring plagues on people, shouldn't be too hard to notice.

lol.....simple but true.....kinda hard to miss those two!

It appears that Romans 6 referrers to the death of the sin nature (old spirit man vs new spirit man), not a physical death. Moreover, each man will not experience death of the sin nature since this death is germane to being a disciple and a by product of receiving and accepting the revelation of Jesus Christ.

I don't think God expects everyone to accept his son Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior.

Romans 6:10-12

10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

How do you reconcile the physical death to be experienced by every man (Rapture not being taken into account) referenced below?

Hebrews 9:27-28

7 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

That is the basis for my suggestion that, Elijah and Enoch will be the witnesses since they are the only two that I'm aware of that have yet to experience a physical death. They were taken by God.

They are described as being hated by all the world and that people will party and exchange gifts to celebrate their death. That would indicate we will know them. If all the world will celebrate, does that include Christians? (Rev 11:9) After 3 days of being dead in the streets, God gives them the breath of life and they ascend. Those who witness this become afraid, then there is a great earthquake and those left living "affrighted and gave glory to the God of heaven" Rev: 11:13. So maybe we won't know them at all until all this has happened.

JESUS came and reveal a mercyful and love GOD,and they reveal a bloody GOD with mass killing and deadly punishment, maybe lots of Christians can not understand a GOD of punishment

Revelation 11:4-6

These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth. And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.

How you get fire from prayer I'm not sure. Now we know as Christians that the bible is our only offensive weapon, often symbolized by a sword, but prayer as fire?

the fire ,is just the parable," in the fire from their mouths"means they can perform the Godly miracle through the word from their mouth, like JESUS perform the Godlymiracle through the word, and also like what some OT Prophets did, remember what Moses,Elijah,Elisha had done?

The idea is the Omnipotent God you are praying to, do you think he can't send fire as he did for Elijah and consume the men sent by Ahab. :)
