Because some of them say things like this.

In his dissertation, “IQ and Immigration Policy,” Jason Richwine, a member of the Heritage Foundation think tank, asserts that the average IQ of immigrants in the United States is substantially lower than that of the Caucasian native population.

But there are democrats who say this:

“He is just doing whatever he can. You know what I think of Mr. Parker right now, and I know you’re not even going to like this,” Platko said in the recording. “But he’s just an arrogant (N-word). And I’m sorry to say it that way, but that’s the way I feel.”...“Every race of people have (N-words), every culture has (N-words)," 69-year-old Platko said. “Look up the definition. I learned that way back in grade school. I learned that at St. Joe’s and Holy Rosary."

Oh and let's not forget Biden when referring to Barrack Obama: “first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”

Platko and Biden are both officials and are actual representatives of the Democratic Party. Unfortunately Richwine is a quantitative analyst at the Heritage Foundation specializing in education policy and its intersection with public-sector compensation and labor issues. Richwine has no actual connection to leadership in the Republican party and even posts his essays on sites such as Washington post and even the Huffington post. Sorry that I didn't clarify that I am talking about leadership roles such as representatives and senators.

I am not excusing republicans who make racist remarks but stating that the whole party is racist is far-fetched especially since there are democrats who do the same...but the dems don't seem to be noticed as much.

Fair enough. If I had known you were asking about both parties I would have provided a democratic quote as well.

But, the OP asked about why people thought Republicans were the "racist" party.

Sorry if I did not clarify but I intended for the OP to show a bias in that republicans are primarily seen as racist even though there is racism on both sides.

I beleive this is a long time tactic of the press and the leadership of the Democartic party. If the Democrats ever lose the majority of minorities, lol, they are washed up as a party. The conveniently forget, that the Republican party was formed primarily for the abolisment of slavery, against the Democrats which desired to keep that institution. The typically ignore, that when push cam to shove, in civil right movement voting, Republicans as a percentatge, out voted Democrats in favor of Civil Rights. It was not the Republican Party, that lifted up Robert Bird, Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan, as it's "Conscience of the Democrat Party".

And while today, the Republican Party is also guilty of too much spending on entitlement programs, it is the Democrat Party that still champions programs, which keep people stuck in never ending cycle of dependency upon government, so that we now have generations of families stuck in a system they cannot get out of, because rather than pursuing programs to improve the economy and create jobs, they have decided that the best way to stay in power, it to spend money on programs which grow government and create short term financial gains for people in the programs, in essence, rewarding them for remaining poor.

When you tell a poor woman, if you need help, we can give you help, if you have children we will give you money, the more kids you have, the more money you get, and if you have no husband, we will give you even more money, what would we expect will happen? What ever you subsidize, you will get more of. It is litte wonder then, the poor black women are increasingly the victims of a plan that is either poorly thought out, or actually designed to keep poor women from getting ahead. This has been so effective, that last I heard, about 75 out of 100 black kids are born to unmarried moms.

The Democrat party is smart, in that it knows that if it can keep people impoverished, it can depend on votes of the poor, that it helps to create. The party that provides the most handouts, can buy votes. Maybe this is not out and out racism on the part of the Democrat party, it is probably just a clever way to insure staying in power. However, it certainly is brutal to the financial underclass, many of which happen to be of minority race.

So, since those rascally Republicans favor policies that seek to help people prosper (read reduce people dependency of government) the Democrats and the press, can sell the lie that Republicans want to keep the minorities down.

I am not a Libertarian (not yet at least) but if I wanted to make helping the poor my highest priority, I think I would vote for Libertarians (if I thought they could actually win) and stay as far away from Democratic candidates as I could. They probably are not actual racists, but they are functional racists.

This has been an editorial opinion of Omegaman, who is solely responsible for it's content. No endorsement of these ideas is intended or implied by Worthy Ministries.

Your reasoning as to the dynamics between the Democrats and Republicans is actually something that Black conservatives say a lot when trying to change the political minds of other black people in the community. I wish more could hear the reasoning of the other side for more than a few sentences without crying "Uncle Tom" and understand how such "get money quick" program can be harmful.

Yes, I get where you are coming from, at times, that tendency for many black people to be in lockstep with one way of political thinking, works to make them their own worse enemies at times I think. We all need to listen to what the other side has to say from time to time, as no one is right all the time and no one is wrong all the time.

Any study of the history of the Democratic Party will dispel that bit of propaganda. It was only during the late 1960's and early 1970's before they changed tactics and became the party of "minorities"

For your consideration:

This has been confusing me for a while. Are the democrats really good at demonizing or have I missed something? I say this because I hear democrats making really uncomfortable statements regarding race or sex more or in equal amounts as republicans during election time. I just think both parties has those few rotten apples that ruin it for everyone and that neither party is the beacon of perfection.

It is the result of a Democratic strategy that has gone on for years. The Democrats have had people in leadership that were openly known to be racist. They had a former KKK leader as their Senate leader in the 70s. He died in office, and has always been revered by the Democratic Party. Al Gore's father was a segregationist. I have been amazed at how this demonization has been so successful. As a Republican, I welcome anyone to our party. I don't care if they are black, Hispanic, native American, or of white European anscestry, so long as they believe in the principles of the party. Most Republicans I know feel the same way. I continue to oppose Obama, and his agenda, but that is not because of his skin color. I was a big supporter of Clarence Thomas, and I would gladly support a black conservative for President, like Allen West, Michael Steel, or even Herman Cain.

I have never had any issue with Americans of Mexican ancestry, but Republicans are accused of hating Hispanics because we oppose illegal immigration. We just want the laws followed. Bottom line is that Democrats have created this false image of the GOP.

Because some of them say things like this.

In his dissertation, “IQ and Immigration Policy,” Jason Richwine, a member of the Heritage Foundation think tank, asserts that the average IQ of immigrants in the United States is substantially lower than that of the Caucasian native population.

I would note that he doesn't single out any particular ethnic minority of immigrants. I would like to see the greater context of the article.

One point that does bear making is that years ago, immigrants came to the US with university degrees and expertise in the fields of science, engineering, medicine, etc. Immigration to the US was contingent on what you brought to the US to make the US better. What was your contribution to our society.

Today, immigration has become our a foreign policy and we are allowing people to come here who simply want to leech off of us and suck us dry. They want free welfare and other benefits, but they offer nothing to us. They want to take but generally have no interest in giving back. The majority of immigrants to the US are illegal, but want to be rewarded for breaking our laws and if we oppose such policies, we are called "racist." It is a way of silencing anyone who opposes our self-destructive and insane immigration practices.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
