Greetings OA,

Thanks, Reverand Turmoil, for responding to that statement. I, too, was a bit taken aback by it. I guess Christians will try to get persecuted any way they can.

I actually thought it was the other way around, that the so-called "liberal" Christians are being and will continue to be persecuted by the right-wing Christians, who will be thinking they are doing God a favor.

I can understand Rev Turmoil's response, but I sincerely thought better of you.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

I believe DE is right. In Rev. 11:7 It says the beast will make war against the two witnesses. You wouldnt go to or make war with two peoples, but you would with 2 people groups. It is persecution of the church.

John 16:2 They will put you out of the synagogues: yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.

Born-again Christian believers are ALREADY united in a world-wide spiritual Body called THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST, of which He and He alone is the One Head. The true Church has its One Head in Heaven, not the Vatican.

Often when charismatics emphasize "getting together," they mean essentially that denominations join physically & start worshipping ala Pentecostalism, jumping, dropping, kicking up, shouting in a mumbo-jumbo that has no meaning whatever. In fact, there is NO such thing in the Holy Scriptures as an "unknown" tongue or language. ALL biblical "tongues" are KNOWN, EARTHLY, NATIONAL dialects.

The Bible's UNITY is always a SPIRITUAL unity & follows the identical pattern of the Holy Trinity according to Jesus Himself, "that they all may be one, AS WE ARE ONE...." SPIRITUAL unity always & ever!

Greetings RollinThunder & Arthur Durnon,

2 Thess 2:1-3 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

This "falling away" or Gr. "apostasia" shall occur immediately prior to the Lord's 2nd Advent. It is also referenced here:

2 Tim 4:1-4 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

and believe it or not, it is also mentioned here:

Rev 3:14-16 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Yes, there is but one REAL "church", which is the "Body of Christ on this earth" which from Rev 4 onward are called the "saints", which is used to differentiate between the "apostate church" and the TRUE SAINTS OF GOD.

When you examine the "false prophet", he arises out of the "church" and performs all sorts of miracles and great deceptions which cause many to follow him into accepting "ecumenism". Ecumenism is the watering down of the Gospel, a lax view of sin, and acceptance of all the other religions on this earth. Right now with the "Hate Crimes Bill", we see how the government is getting involved in stepping on the churches to force them into "ecumenism". It is going to get worse. Already preachers have been jailed for preaching the truth about abortion and homosexuality. The "lawless one", the "man of sin", the "false prophet" are all one and the same. He will become as a god in the "church" and will eventually seek to be worshipped as THE GOD and will appear to have God's backing by the many miraculous things he does. God is being taken out of our schools, out of our work places, out of all our institutions and soon will be taken out of the "church". This is a global effort in which the False Prophet will lead those with the "spirit of the Laodician church" right into the maws of the Beast which is Babylon.

Unless you die first, I can guarantee you both that you will be here to see this for yourself, I just hope and pray that your eyes are opened to keep from following the likes of Tim LaHaye et al.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Matt 24:37-42

"But as the days of Noah were, so shall also be the coming of the Son of man.For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah enteres into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, AND TOOK THEM ALL AWAY; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Then two shall be in the field; THE ONE SHALL BE TAKEN, and the other one left.

Two shall be grinding at the mill; THE ONE TAKEN, and the other left.

Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord come"

Yeshuas words are clear. You do not want TO BE TAKEN!!!!

It is the WICKED that are taken.

Luke 17:28-29

"I tell you, in THAT NIGHT there shall be two in one bed; THE ONE SHALL BE TAKEN, and the other shall be left.

Two shall be grinding togethere; THE ONE SHALL BE TAKEN, and the other shall be left.

Two shall be in the field; THE ONE SHALL BE TAKEN, and the other left.

AND THEY ANSWERED AND SAID UNTO HIM, WHERE LORD? (where will they be taken?)

AND HE SAID UNTO THEM, WHERESOEVER THE BODY IS, THITHER THE EAGLES WILL BE GATHERED TOGETHERE.

The EAGLES ARE NOT gathered in heaven. They are gathered togethere to disposing of the flesh of the wicked. They are birds of prey.

In the parable of the wheat and the tares, we have another example of the wicked being TAKEN OUT FIRST and the GOOD left to be gathered.

Matt. 13:30

"Let them both grow togethere until the HARVEST: and in the time of HARVEST I will say to the reapers, Gather ye togethere FIRST the TARES, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the WHEAT into my BARN.

It is only after the tribulation of the church and the taking out of the wicked that Yeshua will "GATHER UP HIS WHEAT".

Thank you Yahsway. That is one perspective I had not heard before. That would certainly fall in line with a post tribulation rapture. I still have to wonder when the one hundred and fourty-four thousand saints will be taken up. It sounds more and more like the saints will be taken up and spared the tribulation, while the flock/harvest remain to be sifted from the chaff.

Greetings O'Dannyboy,

First:

1 Thess 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Do you undstand these verses? They are saying that the "first resurrection" occurs, soon followed by the "catching away of the saints". Revelations reveals there are TWO resurrections. The first, prior to the mil. reign of Christ, and the 2nd will be of the dead at the end of the mil. reign of Christ.

Now please tell me where the following myriad of saints are taken up:

Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Revelation 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

It is during the "great tribulation" when the following saints cry out to God:

Revelation 6:9-11 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Now here is the fate of the Saints of God during the Great Tribulation:

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Now for those who have ears to hear, these are the ones awaiting the rapture at the 7th trumpet:

Revelation 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Do you see the connection between "those who are alive and remain" and "the remnant"? They are the same. Remember:

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The above does not mean that the resurrection AND the rapture happen simultaneously, only that we shall ALL be changed.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

well what i belive one world religion means, is like the mark of the beast, and how every one (actual most, but not all)will fall down and worship him(the anti christ)

Besides the Scriptures from Thessalonians and Revelation that have been quoted, look at the Book of Daniel (from end third of the book), where you will see the rise and fall of the different political systems including the one world government prophesied about. What is more exciting is to read about how the church will govern because the Ancient of Days hands the authority to Jesus.

God Bless.

So if I, being a Christian, am sitting around January 4th watching the OU game and not expecting Christ to return and He does choose to (He won't, He's an OU fan and will be pre-occupied with the game...just using this as a hypothetical) return at that moment...do I just stay on this earth? What is the consequence?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
