:24: Hi Everyone:

I had a discussion recently with a Christian brother who felt that miracles were only for the beginning church and are not for today :24:

I had to beg to differ with him, very lovingly of course, for I have witnessed so many first hand that I can hardly keep track of them all. Here are just a few:

1. two years ago my little niece who was born with a serious heart defect (hole in her heart and other cardiac problems with the aorta) was completely healed by God. When the doctors cracked open her chest to do the surgery (which should have taken 5 hours) they found her heart healed, glory to God.

2. Last November I slipped and fell in the shower dislocating my shoulder and breaking my upper arm. It was a blizzard here in Pinedale WY, and it happened after clinic hours. The nearest ER was Jackson Hole which is 78 miles away and the road was closed. After getting dressed with the help of my husband we decided our best bet was to trust God. My husband laid hands on my upper arm and we prayed for an hour over it. It felt considerably better afterwards. Even though my shoulder still hurt (I had dislocated it in the past and had xrays) we went to bed and decided to visit the local clinic in the morning for a follow up. The doctor took xrays and came in to show them to us. She pointed to a small tear in my rotator cuff and said that my shoulder had dislocated and had already gone back in position and that was what the tear was from. Then she said, "When did you break your upper arm?" I told her last night. She said, "No this is an old break it is healed so beautifully that the fracture has calcified already". I told her that might be so, but I had never before last night broken my arm. She then asked for an explanation, we witnessed to her for over twenty minutes on God's power and prayer. Before we left she asked my permission to look at the old xray from years before where I had dislocated my shoulder to see if the fracture was evident on it. We agreed, and she then said she would send them to a radiologist in Jackson. The greatest part was what she said before we left "Just in case there is something to this prayer thing, I am interviewing a doctor today for a position here at the clinic, would you pray that he will come on board I really need the help." We prayed and he was hired by the clinic. Two weeks later I got a call from her office, the fracture was not evident on the former xray and the radiologist concluded that the fracture was healed and fused beautifully, they stopped short of calling it a miracle, but I was praising God to anyone who would listen, and still am. How about you, seen any miracles?

I have shared this on this board before, but maybe some did not see it..

My son (who is now 5) was healed when he was a baby. When he turned one, we moved into a new house and all of a sudden he started getting really strange rashes, ear infections, etc etc...we were always in the dr. Well, I picked him up from day care one afternoon and the teacher told me she saw a spot on his tummy that needed to be checked out before he could come back. I looked and there was one little red welt on him. We got in the car and he was fussy all the way home. When I took off his coat, I looked again at the spot and by now his entire stomach and down into the diaper area was welted ( it was about 10 15 minute drive home). I decided to call the dr to see if they had an opening to see him (all the while praying) and they said to bring him right over. By the time we got to the dr, his torso, diaper area, and upper legs were COVERED in welts that looked open and gross and bloody. He literally looked like someone beat him with a bat. I was horrified and he was screaming! The doctor said she knew what it was, (some viral rash with a german name I can't remember right now) and that it would be very uncomfortable and take about 2 weeks to clear up. There really wasn't anything to do, but wait it out. That night I sat by his bed and he laid there crying and whining and I prayed over him. I got to the point where I told God I trusted Him to end Nathan's string of rashes and pains, regardless of what that meant. I totally gave him to God...knowing God could take him if that was what was best. The next morning, He was sitting up in bed smiling and I looked and his rash was COMPLETELY gone!!! In one night! I praised God and thank him still to this day for that miracle.

edited to add (in case someone thinks of it) after this, it occured to us that there may have been some spirit in the house that was left by previous owners and we had a "house cleaning" and dedicated our home to the Lord and had less problems, we have since moved from that home.

Ellie , Great post about miracles and I feel God continues to work them for all peoples. Jesus's miracles were proof to those who would not have believed if they had'nt seen it. Even though many still didnt believe. The miracles God performs today are for the same reason. 1) to show that He is all powerful 2.) To bring non-believers to Jesus. 3.) and to reaffirm our faith to know that He is with us and that He cares. I have heard of many miracles happening to others . Healings in churches etc.. I will share how God reaffirmed my faith with a miracle. A few weeks ago I began a fast and prayer time in my life, that ended up lasting 3 days. On day 1 I was not feeling well as I was coming down with a bad cold fever sore throat etc. I asked God are you sure this is the time to do this ! He spoke to me and told me it was. Day 1 went good as I drew close to Him in prayer and fasting but I was feeling terrible. Day 2 started late the night of day of day 1 of course and I was very sick and did not know if i could go on, and something wonderful happened that night. I felt a reassurance from God in my spirit and i felt a warmth start in my head that spread throughout my body. It was almost hot in my nose and throat and lungs. I feel asleep after that and woke up the next day and was perfectly healthy. No cold symptoms none at all. I was absolutely floored and i knelt down and thanked God over and over again. He had healed me because He wanted me to know how much He cared and wanted me to complete the fasting period. God released me from the fast at the end of day 3 and even though it was tough i grew very close to God and learned many things. The main thing I learned is that He is there more than we think and that he loves us with a Love that is not found anywhere and that he will get us through anything if we trust in Him. My Faith has grown a lot since this and I never knew if I would witness a healing miracle and By His will the miracle occured in me. I thank Him everyday knowing even more now that He is always there and all we have to do is trust and He will do the rest.

I have an elderly friend who was riding a bicycle on the boardwalk in Brooklyn, NY. He hit a rut in the boards and as he said "flipped and landed on right on his shoulder." Very easily something that can break a collar bone, and he believed he did. He made it home and called my wife who was home at the time and she prayed that he might be healed. He went to the doctor and had the x-ray which showed a "healed" fracture in his collar bone. The thing was he had never broke his collar bone before.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
