You really need t0o start reading the Bible some more. There is no prohibition on self defense anywhere in it. Owning a gun for self defense or hunting is certainly not banned by the bible. There isn't anything in the bible at all that forbids us to have guns-it just forbids us from murder. If Christians didn't use arms then the Muslims would have taken over Europe and today we'd all be reading the Qu'ran and praying to Allah and that would also include North America.. If Christians didn't have guns and use them, Adolf Hitler would have overrun Europe - not one European Jew would have been left alive. Countless examples occur throughout history where Christians have had to defend their faith, and had to defend their women, their children and their way of life. Christianity is a peaceful religion but not a pacifist religion. Christians have every right to defend themselves the same as anybody else.
