Here is a really good article I stumbled across.

 http://www.desiringgod.org/blog/posts/pornography-the-new-narcotic?utm_content=bufferf3482&utm_source=buffer&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=Buffer

It explains why porn is so addictive and how your brain is affected by it. Very informative.

Just look around on the websites they are loaded with porn.I can go to a very simple website searching for something very simple and innocent.Their is porn everywhere.Satan loves it .It is temptation. To me it is obnoxious.Porn is alot easier to come by and cheaper than cocaine. But just as damaging.

I would not compare it to narcotics. I don't find that a useful analogy insofar a narcotics involve physically flooding your system with neurotransmitters that your brain then ceases to make on its own and an equivalent thing is not occurring when people indulge in porn.

It can not be just as damaging in your relationships & your mind?

That's not my point. My point is that it shouldn't be compared to substances that cause physical dependence.

and some people seem to love to talk about porn, bad girls and how awful others dress

it's a good thing we have threads like this because of course, none of us know any of this

yes I am being sarcastic...I don't know how many threads on what others think of how some women dress, how bad those women are, how nasty they are, how terrible we have to

see them, how much satan uses them, how we should all dress like momons and wear magic underwear or dress like Amish and ride to work on horses (oh wait we couldn't go to work

out of the community) or how awful that men are tempted by these she devils in a red dress

so glad we have a new platform to do all that again because it has been so engaging, delightful and encouraging

no bopeep...I can assure you that websites are not loaded with porn.  porn websites are loaded with porn.  people go there to see the porn.

I have been online all day, working, gone to myriad sites...written to others, posted on my fb page, engaged the fans, edited photos from a lovely family I worked with the other day

and come here to this site a few times

I encountered no porn...no porn pop ups or adverts...it has been a clean trip.  I don't visit porn sites so I don't get it in my face when I am on the internet

the world is NOT full of porn and office loads of women just waiting to steal your boyfriend, husband or get in good with the boss

It's called PERSPECTIVE and some people need some

But the author of the article's point (if I have understood correctly) is that porn's effects on the brain are far more damaging as an addictive 'substance'.  No?

I think that is a very misleading claim. I do not think porn should be compared to physically addictive substances.

Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend,

But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

2 Timothy 2:24-25 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Galatians 5: 22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Luke 6:27-31But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. 29 To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. 30 Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. 31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.
