Whether its right or wrong to destroy it, someone WILL.. I guarantee it won't be there for long...

Idk if it is right or wrong, im torn between, i dont have the money to travel there and do it my self and  i certainly dont want it there but if someone were to destroy it i wouldn't be offended of course

if it happens it was suppose to...  if not then its for a reason... a God reason

it should be a wake up call for nonbelievers, and in a way its easier to prove satan exists since he is of this world

and evil is everywhere.. and the world is getting darker by the day and they would see what the world is coming to

even if they don't believe they should want to have nothing to do with evil, and the only way to do that is thru Christ..

this statue reminds me of the saddam hussein statue in iraq that was tore down

and now maybe soldiers of Christ should tear this one down?

either way good will come of it. God will always prevail.

If they actually build the thing, I would stand by it and use it to share the gospel. I see this as a fantastic tool to share the gospel.

Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

Genesis 50:

19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?

20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

First off... who is "They" that are collecting money to build the statue? Next... is this "They" in a position to go before the government and get this statue approved to be placed at the state capitol? Finally... if this does get approved by the government, where were the people who opposed this? Why did they not contact their representatives and state their position?

Ok... Enough.. I'll get off my soap box now.

I already wrote them, even though I am not from Oklahoma.  The people wanting to put this idol at the state capital are a satanist cult from NYC.  They really don't even have a legitimate grievance against the state, since they aren't residents of it, but they are still trying to put it there anyway.

Wow I am thinking that stuff like this shouldn't be considered to be put up from people that are not residents of that state. I wonder why that cult wants a stature idol in the a state they don't dwell in?

No i don't think it's ok to destroy this statue at this point in time.

Rom 12:17-19  Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.  (18)  If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.  (19)  Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

We could spend all day long destroying idols if we decide to. Oh I've returned to suggest we may, and should, destroy our own idols at will of course.

I liked that answer.

Surely vengeance refers to people and not inanimate objects. You can't take revenge on a thing.

But anyway, it would be foolish to destroy it. It  would only give them justification to destroy something Christian, and it doesn't give Christians a good image.

Maybe God will strike it with lightning or topple it with an earthquake. Who knows?

The ultimate issue is to pray God to send laborers into the political realm to re-take it for God. 97 of the Founding Fathers were active members of their churches, only 3 were not. All of the laws of this great nation that God has made are mostly from Deuteronomy, such as the right to confront your accuser in court or to take an oath. This was founded, always has been and always will be a CHRISTian nation.

The Founding Fathers were Christians who dictated the policies and policy-making of this nation. Only recently (since about 1960 with respect to the most grievous, but back to about 1903 to get at the roots of the progressive socialistic movement) has the Devil been able to infiltrate the government and change the laws and get people to ignore the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. We need to get back in there and take the whole thing over at every level: Congress, Executive and Judicial, from the local to the federal level and rule this nation for Jesus, the Word of God.

This also digresses into another discussion of how the Constitution and the Declaration are actually one document, linked as one, stated right in the Constitution itself (for those who think that the Constitution is not a Christian document).
