I didn't find that article informative enough to convince me that theres some assumption on anyones part. With any scientific theory the idea is to disprove the theory so it can then can be improved upon. If in fact evolution ever gets disproved then science will have replaced it with a better theory.

Why quote scripture on the sabbath?  To whom was the sabbath command given?  and what about the 7th year sabbath?

 

"30 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary; I am YHWH"

What about the 2nd part?

 

Don't forget this one:

"  And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and there shall be unto thee the days of seven sabbaths of years, even forty and nine years.  9 Then shalt thou send abroad the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month;"

 

"Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye are in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy its sabbaths.  35 As long as it lieth desolate it shall have rest, even the rest which it had not in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.  36 And as for them that are left of you, I will send a faintness into their heart i"

 

"and the burnt-offerings for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of Jehovah. "

 

Gal 4:

"8   Howbeit at that time, not knowing God, ye were in bondage to them that by nature are no gods:  9 but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly  rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?  10 Ye observe days, and months, and seasons, and years.  11 I am afraid of you, lest by any means I have bestowed labor upon you in vain."
