in the case of this four year old child.... was he unsaved? or was he saved? or had he even reached the age of accountability? clearly the boy knew of Jesus. his dad is a preacher. that doesn't make him saved. but just because he is only four doesn't mean he wasn't, either.

i'm not into the whole NDE thing. never gave much credibility to them. but this kid's vision of heaven is pretty convincing. he had nothing to gain by making this up, but there are too many details to have imagined it. he never flat-lined during surgery, as happens in every NDE that i've ever heard of (although granted i don't usually pay attention to such experience, so i could be wrong.) but the way it sounds to me, this wasn't any near death anything. it was just a vision. a very detailed vision.

and God can still give those. it makes far more sense to me that He would give such a vision to a boy with the faith of a little child than to a jaded adult that is full of skepticism.

I am wondering why the dad did not keep that memorable experience between him,his son and God?Do you think the dad thought he would write a book and take the money and run?Only the boys dad and God know that.

perhaps the dad felt that God gave his kid this vision for the purpose of sharing it with others. what if the prophets in the Bible had kept their visions to themselves? can you imagine how hard it must have been to tell the world what they'd seen? the scorn, the skepticism, and probably worse, that they knew they would face... who in their right mind would want to become a laughingstock in their culture by being a prophet? let's face it... prophets weren't always treated kindly.

here on this forum, there is a board specifically for those who believe they have been given prophetic visions. i don't ever venture in there to read, so i really don't know. maybe someone who does go in there can answer this for me... do the people who post about their experiences there get a lot of flack? do their motives get questioned? (probably so... i admit, i'm pretty skeptical of most modern day prophecies, which is exactly why i don't go read in that board.)

anyway, proceeds from the book go to christian charities. i don't know where the proceeds from the movie will go.

The problem I have is all the people saying they went to heaven and they aren't saved. this happens in many near death experiences.

I have heard of some who have said they went to hell. Really I do not know for sure what to think. I do think that these people experienced something. Since I have never had a near death experiences I can not know for sure what has happen to them. I do find the topic interesting though.

Blessings Everyone...

The whole point in them wanting to get the story out to the people is to  spread the Gospel of Christ Jesus......the dad of the little boy is a pastor, kids do not know so much about Salvation at 4 years old but after the little guy spent time with Jesus He was emphatic on people knowing Jesus....right after his experience his dad was asked to pray for an elderly man in the hospital & took Colton with him, Colton was supposed to wait outside the room but he didn't want to because he was worried that the man did not know Jesus & kept telling his dad to make sure the dying man knows Jesus

This family is saved & this kid wanted to tell everyone that Jesus loves them,,,,,,his dad never told the little one  any  details abnout Christs crucifixion (remember ,he was 4 yrs old)....................... He told his dad that Jesus had markers, his dad asked"what are markers",,,,Colton pointed to his hands & feet and told his dad thats where the markers are.................see the movie or read the book, its about the only way to Heaven,Jesus

                                                                                                                           With love,in Christ,Kwik

When I hear of a story about near death experiences, I think of the following verses:

2 Cor 12:1 12 It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord: I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven. And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter

Was this a vision? Was the little boy caught up out of the body?  I don't know.

For me, I listen to their words, and look for the results of this experience. Is the person giving Jesus the glory? Some of the stories I heard sound more like universalism, but some sound like actual experiences with Jesus, and the person is motivated to tell others about Jesus.  What little I have heard about this, it sounds like some do experience Jesus, and some are all the worse in deception, so to me, it sounds like this experience can be from God or can be from the deceiver.

I knew a physican once who was a specialist in Cardiac arrythmias. He came across alot to people who had cardiac arrests and some who barely made it.He was interested in the NDE.He did say that a majority of people did not remember anything.Everything went black. But he did say there were a couple of people who did experience something. He never did say what it was and the patient kept that experience to themselves. No book was written and no movies were made.

i'd actually like to see that verse too. i can't think of one in the NT. but in the OT, we're told that we're forbidden from talking with the dead. and saul DID talk to the dead (samuel) and it was a bad, bad thing. so clearly it's possible. it's just a downright stupid thing to do.

but i'm trying to figure out what ghosts have to do with this little live boy who got a vision of heaven?

On the other hand Lady say an atheist or an agnostic goes to this movie or reads the book.Their heart is opened to God.They start to think "hey maybe there is something to this God.Maybe I should do some research". Then that is a good thing.
