Unforgivable Sins??

1 Peter 1:

1 Peter 1:12 - Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

They try to understand what it is to be us, but they do not know what it is to be us.

For the Lord came and gave his life for man, not angels!

That's just what I did. I spoke against Him. It doesn't say anything about requiring that I believe in what I said for it to be "the" sin.

Greetings to all who are called Sons (servants) of God :cool: ,

I pray you the blessings of the Father and the Son :wub:

If God calls us epistles (letters), read of all men, what is the message that we are presenting (offering for observation, examination, or consideration; show or display), we have to ask ourselves what type of witness are we before God and man. Do our words and our deeds Glorify the Father which is in heaven?

[Colossians 3:16-17]

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

If you are not in fact lost, then you could not have done that which Jesus said was unforgivable. If however your argument is true, that you did in fact do that which Jesus said is unforgivable, then according to your own premises, you are lost.

That is all I was saying.

But on a side note - nothing to do with you personally - religious activity does not mean one is "saved". Jesus said there would be those who called Him Lord and who had the testimony of casting out demons in His name, prophesyin in His name, and doing many great things in His name - yet He never knew them.

I would really like to know where you all read in the Bible that says, "once someone committs blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, they will not worry about it ever." We have all done things that we thought were right and later regretted. Also, I believe it's in Mathew, the account he gives concerning blasphemy of the Holy Ghost specifically says any man and that all that has to be done is say that something that is from the Holy Spirit is not of the Holy Spirit. There are NEVER any limitations put on who can and can not do this.

Just a little curious where you all are getting these ideas.

This may be stupid, but I was just wondering if there are sins that are unforgivable?  I was surfing the 'net and saw these scriptures and it started to make me think a little...

I've always thought that salvation covers all of our sins (except maybe suicide??)...

Anyways,

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Galatians 5.19-21: "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties, envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
