This whole push to aliens I think plays into how the media and antichrist will one day incite people in regards to the Second Coming. The news in general has gotten weird to me, I honestly can't follow any of it on tv anymore, thanks goodness papers are still in print. Indeed, thankfully we have such a thing called a remote control , it has a red button it. Unless you put the remote through the washing machine.... Indeed and Carol will never be permitted to forget it.

Guest
The segment featured two groups, the Aetherius Society and the British Union Of Spiritist Societies, which advocated for the theory that various religious figures, including Jesus, were aliens. http://www.christianpost.com/news/were-jesus-and-buddha-aliens-bbc-program-debates-the-idea-133806/ ~ We're poor little lambs who have lost our way, Baa Baa Baa, http://www.the-lambs.org/whiff.htm And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: Ephesians 3:9 ~ "We believe that various religious leaders from history have an inter-planetary origin," said Mark Bennett of the Aetherius Society. http://www.christianpost.com/news/were-jesus-and-buddha-aliens-bbc-program-debates-the-idea-133806/ ~ We're little black sheep who have gone astray Baa Baa Baa http://www.the-lambs.org/whiff.htm Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11 ~ The program also include two people representing Christianity, a scientist who belongs to the Christ Church Southampton and a bishop, who opposed the theory. "It's very clear if you look at the gospels that there are only three answers as to who Jesus is," said the scientist Liz Weston. "Either he's mad... or he's bad, he's trying to deceive us [and] his power comes from the Devil, or he is actually who he claimed to be and he is the son of God... none of those say that he was from Venus." Claims that Jesus might have been an alien are not exclusively made by groups like the Aetherius Society. Presbyterian Minister Barry Downing has often credited phenomenon in the Bible, including the coming of Jesus, to extraterrestrial origins. In a rebuttal posted on the website Ancient Aliens Debunked, Frank Johnson wrote that the theory of Jesus being an alien "creates a few problems." "No matter how you look at it, there is no way possible that God as revealed in the Hebrew Scriptures could be an extraterrestrial as most understand the term," wrote Johnson. "Jesus cannot possibly be an extraterrestrial, hybrid or otherwise, simply because He is one with God the Father. The Bible demonstrates, and Jesus states that He and the Father (God) are ONE." http://www.christianpost.com/news/were-jesus-and-buddha-aliens-bbc-program-debates-the-idea-133806/ ~ Gentlemen songsters off on a spree doomed from here to eternity, Lord, have mercy on such as we, Baa Baa Baa. http://www.the-lambs.org/whiff.htm For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Guest shiloh357
If this were a satirical piece, if it was meant to be a story that no one was expected to take seriously, and the BBC put this out there to add levity to their broadcast, it would not be an issue. But if this is meant to be a serious news piece and they are actually entertaining the notion that Jesus or other world religious leaders (with the exception of Mohammed) were extra-terrestrials, then it really makes me question their news director and his or her fitness to be in that position. Perhaps it is time for the BBC to reconsider their personnel structure if this is the kind of stuff they are going to pass off as a serious news piece. I will say that I am not anti-BBC. I still consider the BBC to be a valid and interesting source for news and information from a European perspective. They report on stuff that is going on over here in America and it is good, I think, to listen and see how what is happening in the US is being viewed by others around the world.
