Hamburger helper, burritos, sloppy joe's, and lots of half strength tang or country time lemonade.   :lightbulb2:

Blessings Omega.......

I guess you could add me to the list of having the economy version also,,,,,,to tell the truth,as a single parent I guess I could have had a difficult time but as Christs own ,,,there was always abundance,I suppose I worked hard but I never gave it a second thought(the mathematics) because my Provider never failed me & it is Him I trust, not my own understanding or anyones calculations,,,,,,,Glory to God!

So,for the young Christian couples eager to start a family.......don't worry,go in Peace ,Trust in God & know that He Blesses us with all that we will ever need(& want)                                                              With love-in Christ,Kwik

King James Bible Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?                                                                   Matthew 6:26

If you're worried about paying for 18 years, you can do like my folks and pick out a few older kids :P

If I had to support children, it would mean living hand-to-mouth.    I have no children and from a financial standpoint that's a good thing.  I don't think it is wise to have children if you can't afford to raise them in a decent manner.    I will leave parenting to those who have more going for them than I do, LOL

I think you left out the debates.

Who sat where at the table and that would be the first one of the day at breakfast time.  :taped:

The day would be long.  :help:

I don't think it really needs to cost that much. Why does it cost a quarter of a million dollars per kid? Over 18 years that means you are spending 14k a year exclusively on *1 child*. Unless there is some dire medical stuff going on, or you are paying out of pocket for their college later, or you are sending them on costly vacations, I don't get it. As far as getting larger dwellings go-- couples without children choose to do that too. Most of this is going to be lifestyle choice, not pure necessity.

It occurs to me one way to spend all that cash though, if you are buying childcare. Daycares, nannies, private schools, then sure, I can see the 250k add up. But that again is going to be a lifestyle choice.

For a while we simply licked and otherwise befouled whatever spot we wanted to dissaude the others. But as you can imagine in a family with only boys, that had limited effectiveness.
