Using words that are in the Bible is not the same as knowing what they mean, understanding the context or using them correctly.

Davida, I agree.

Which is why his living the words, which can only be done through the power of the Holy Spirit,  is so humbling and inspiring.

"Defender of the Faith" has been one of the subsidiary titles of the English and later British monarchs since it was granted on 11 October, 1521 .

Understood, but do you recognize the monarch as the defender of YOUR faith, or would you suggest to anyone that the monarchy should be THEIRS?

By the way, it was granted by Pope Leo X, who by my recollection was in charge when the Protestant Reformation began.

Yes, and no doubt the Bible had the Royalty of Great Britain in mind when it was written, lol.

Yeah right, LOL. Still, since it was one of those popes who granted the title, it carries weight in the Catholic Church ( Leo X I think ).

actually, the line of 'royalty' (not concerning good or bad, except as follows)
is described (can't go into it here and now - just note it)
as leading up to the desire to conquer the world/ (not God's Way)

Which led to the Protestant Reformation, right ?

Jeff, it's hard for me to follow you at times ( likely my own ignorance ), but what did God call call "ludicrous" ?

Not really .

But Queen Elizabeth is referred to as  " Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith".

robin hood,

Okay. I could refer to myself as many things, but it doesn't make it true, or a reflection of how God would refer to me.
