The entire Tribulation period is a time of JUDGEMENTS upon the ungodly. God pours out His wrath throughout this period as revealed in Rev 6:12 through Rev 19:5. THIS IS WHEN THE LORD COMES WITH HIS SAINTSThe "last day" is a metaphor for a period of time extending for at least 1,000 years.I prefer to actually reconcile all of those characteristics of the resurrection / rapture for they all speak of the same event, the same point in time...which only makes sense that it take place at the seventh trumpet. I don't think that it will be too many more years before you begin to see it that way too. By the way, what is your trigger event? Every pre-tribber should have one, you know, that event which convinces them that the pre-trib didn't happen...that "we're still here" moment. Nevertheless, I pray that you, and the rest of us, fare well. You could call the falling away within Christendom the trigger event.  Even evangelical and fundamentalist churches are showing a greater and greater departure from the truth, and that is what Paul tells us will be the key event. It was what spurred the Reformation but we know the rapture did not happen then. I am not pretrib but I thought the trigger event for pre-trib would be the unveiling of the antichrist.
