Co-Founder of Newsboys: “Now I’m an Atheist”

I saw them live in high school, and it’s sad that he became atheist, reading after Richard Dawkins.

Well, I don't think anyone becomes an atheist reading Richard Dawkins.  That man is very blunt in his consideration of the Lord being infanticidle and genocidal and anyone with a basic understanding and belief in scripture knows those things aren't true.  If Richard Dawkins is persuasive, there was already a problem.  

" As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy,  yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away," (Matthew 13:20-21).

I saw the movies "God's not Dead" and "The Theory of Everything."   The Newsboys were heavily involved in that movie and the other one was about Mr. Dawkins' life.

Both movies were beautifully produced and told great stories.  I understand why Mr. Dawkins would be so angry at God.  Look at how his life has been, he would rather deny He exists, than to make peace with God about his health.

I think Mr. Dawkins' anger shows that He does believe in a Creator, but refuses to "forgive" or acknowledge Him.  It is a shame that George Perdikis became an Atheist, but he hasn't been part of that band since 1990.

Sounds like someone who may not have been real with his faith to begin with. Not saying he was never a christian or judging his salvation-but it sounds like someone who got into it from the get go with messed up priorities, and the wrong reasons. Sounds like he also has a lot of anger....
