The subject/ point/ question is about PAUL((hint:clue)) not being a "stumbling block". Were the people of the Gadarenes stumbling blocks to the assembly of believers ? ((not as far as I know)) Was the Prodigal Son a stumbling block to the people JESUS SPOKE WITH ? ((again, not as far as I know )) 54 minutes ago, Ezra said: Why would the people of the Gadarenes have a herd of swine if they were not being raised for food? Why did the Prodigal Son eat the food of swine if they were not being raised for food?...

For example, rain had not fallen until the flood. People were vegetarians before the flood. Some suspect fermentation / alcohol did not occur until after the flood Incestuous marriage was allowed / necessary (stronger gene pool in those days). Sarah and Abraham (though after the flood) were half siblings. Animals were tame before the flood later came the wildness / fear of man

I love fishing and love eating it. Jesus died and was raised again in His glorified body yet set on the shore of the lake eating fish when the disciples spotted Him. I don't feel guilty eating fish. Yes. But those weak in the faith can't continue to remain weak. That is merely an excuse. To grow in grace means to accept the teachings of Christ and the apostles, and as Paul already said (according to the Lord) "there is NOTHING unclean of itself" (Rom 14:14). So to reject that teaching means to insist on one's own ideas.
