Did you own guns prior to 2008? the supreme court said that it was the individual that had the right to bare arms before that is had not been questioned, but a couple of supreme court judge appointments and that could easily be changed. It is my understanding that only pertained to Washington DC. The one that included the States I believe was 2010. but the Heller decision freed up people to purchase guns for the only people who could do so had to have them before 1975 when the laws were passed forbidding gun purchasing after 1975. When Scalia died Chelsea remarked that gun laws could be changed now..... and most likely will be if they get to appoint one before the next president takes over..... and for two generations if Hillary wins.
