No. What they need to do is start profiling these wack jobs who are committing these crimes. Hey! I wear hoodies! I love my hoodie, and so far in my adult life I have not committed any crimes while wearing my hoodie. Why is that when something happens, people start calling for the ban of something thinking that all the world will live in peace if said item is ban?
