God, let John the Apostle see the revelation of the Lord Jesus; the revelation is written in the Book of Revelation in the Bible. In the revelation, Lord Jesus addresses the Nicolaitans, among others, and Nicolaitans' works - which He hates. In the Book of Revelation, we can read what were the Nicolaitans' works and doctrines which Lord Jesus hates. This topic is extremely important, and we should understand it, and we should stick to the truth in regard to this topic and reject the works and doctrines of the Nicolaitans because some of their doctrines still prevail among Christianity.

Could it have something to do with St Nicholas?  Something that nearly the whole world is doing.

That's my gut feeling.  A pagan teaching built on lies, preached to children, and celebrated by adults.  Throw in a little bible story about baby Jesus, and get the whole world into this "spirit" which mixes pagan and Christianity practises as if they are one, and wholla, there you have it, a contamination of truth.  Oh and don't forget to teach the kids to leave out an offering for Santa,...only a glass of milk and a cookie, no biggie, they'll find out he's not true when they're older, but too late, they have already sacrificed to demons and will pass on the tradition as the many generations before them did.

Oh and what a coincidence it happens to fall on a special occult day, and the days leading up to it.  Nice try Satan.  It wont work with me.  He can pretty it up as much as he likes with all the lights and presents, and hymns, and excuses we come up with to not give it away, but this will never ever be a holy day to me, but an abomination.

Sorry I sound like the Grinch!  ...but Jesus told us to celebrate his death and resurrection, not his birth, and if he did instruct us to celebrate his birth he would of given us a date to keep aside, as the dates were given in the OT for all the feasts and celebrations, and all knew it was holy and from God.

The archaeological finding reveals that Balaam worshipped a sun god called Shamash. Gilgamesh, a book from Babylon, covers the blessing of Shamash. The word “Shamash” means “the Sun”. There have been arguments for and against in regard to whether the above text is about Shamash or not. However, the finding is clearly linked to the sun god who was to shut out light by means of darkness. The finding tells us that Balaam was the son of Peor who worshipped idols. The Bible says that Balaam was the son of Peor who led the people of Israel to worship the idols of the Moabites who worshipped the sun. Both the above finding and the Bible show that Balaam engaged in sun worship. In Revelation, Lord Jesus considers the works of the Nicolaitans to be equal with the doctrine of Balaam so we can also say that the doctrine of the Nicolaitans included sun worship as well as physical and spiritual fornication.

The Roman Catholic Church has inherited the Babylonian religion, and the church openly shows emblems and symbols related to sun worship. St. Peter’s square in the Vatican has a large, eight-spoked sun wheel which is a pagan symbol. In the centre of the wheel, there is a large obelisk which Caesar Caligula brought from Heliopolis to Rome. Obelisks were also used in sun worship. In the middle of St. Peter’s square, there also is a small four-spoked sun wheel which is of the same shape and type as an altar of stone, depicting Hasor, in the temple of Baal. Shamash was a Mesopotamian sun god who was worshipped in Accadia, Assyria and Babylon. This cult of sun worship included the sacrificing of drinks to an idol called Shamash. In the Eucharist (Holy Communion) of the Roman Catholic Church, the attendees carry a symbol of the Sun and again and again sacrifice Jesus in the sacrifice of wine and bread.

The Babylonian sun god cult also included priests who reigned over the people through religion and made them subordinate through it. The Catholic church teaches that its priests work through the sacrament of matrimony in the person of Christ, which means that according to the doctrine of the Catholic church, Catholic priests have the authority to operate in the power and person of Christ Himself (Catholic Catechism 1548, 1563). The word “Nicolaitan” gives us a hint of there being - among the Nicolaitans - a doctrine and the idea of leadership through which the church was made subordinate and were forced to accept the teachings of the leaders. The Greek word nikolaites (Nicolaite) means: “one that reigns over people, conqueror of the people, destroyer of people and one that subdues people. The word nikolaites is from nikos (“victory”, “to be victorious” and laos (“people”).

Based on everything stated above, we can say that the Nicolaitans engaged in sun worship, and their leaders reigned over and forced the church to share the beliefs of the leaders and to believe in their teachings.

1 Pet 5:

1 ¶ The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

The Bible teaches us that church leaders, i.e. elders, shall not reign over the church as lords. In addition, the Bible says that we should examine everything which also means that the church shall examine the teachings of church leaders by comparing them to the Bible. Reigning over churches through one or more leaders is not right as it leads the church away from being subordinate to the chief Shepherd, i.e. Lord Jesus, to be subordinate to men and to be under the dominion of men.

Lord Jesus hated the works of the Nicolaitans because they taught the doctrines of Balaam (sun worship, physical and spiritual fornication) and took the place of the chief Shepherd (Lord Jesus) by themselves leading the church, controlling and reigning over the church. The Nicolaitans also engaged in false priesthood and leadership, which is the most clearly shown in the Roman Catholic Church, but it also has an impact among believers where one man leads the church and is higher than the elders. In that way, one man takes the place of the chief Shepherd (Lord Jesus). The works and doctrines of the Nicolaitans are based in the satanic Babylonian religion which Lord Jesus hates because it is the mother of all religions and deceptions.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
