I was thinking this morning about how much I love my kids coming in and giving me long hugs first thing in the morning. I'm usually wakened by my two gifts from God and I LOVE it when they climb up onto the bed, stretch out on me and snuggle into my arms. I love to kiss their necks and their beautiful little faces. Touching their warm, smooth skin and whispering words of love into their nibbly ears is just the best way to start the day! Kids smell so good first thing in the morning don't they

How do you start your day in a special kinda way?

I make sure to have at least one little snuggle with my 3-year-old every morning.

Another thing that I always make sure I do is kiss my children on the forehead and tell them that I love them before they/I leave every morning. You never know if something is going to happen when you leave the house. Kind of a morbid thought? I hope not.

My day usually starts off around 5-5:30am when my son wakes up and comes into my bedroom sometimes followed my youngest son. He usually comes in gives me a hug and kiss and asks if it's ok if he can watch t.v.. my youngest son usually falls back asleep in my bed with me. My daughter will usually come in an hour later.

I usually start each day by waking up. I've been doing this for 38 years now and it's always meant so much to me. I couldn't start my day without it.

I always thought if God wanted me to see a sunrise, He'd put it in the middle of the afternoon....

The first thing I do when I open my eyes as I lay in bed is say thank you Lord for given me another day. On my way to work on the bus I listen to gospel and read my bible. That sets the direction my day goes no matter what happens during it. Good or bad Jesus is my center.

Every morning I awaken to the smell of fresh coffee. I go downstairs get a cup and turn on my reading light and then I pray and read some scripture. I finally got myself into the habit of reading God's word in the morning. And its the best way to start a day.
