It is an example of the False claiming to be Christian & it plunging further into heresy. It is very very sad for their eternal souls and those they lead astray. One can say the same about many denominations and nominal Christians. I trust God will separate the tares from the wheat. And judgment will be all the harsher for their leaders. I have firsthand experience with that denomination and it is much worse now & I have family members dedicated to it. I guess it is just reflecting the culture because it is cultural Christianity. Yes. The same can be said about many denominations and Roman Catholics too of which I have firsthand knowledge of. Cultural Christianity is a good description of these "Christians", maybe the majority of Christians.
