When will the West ever get over it's big brother syndrome and stop being ashamed that we have evolved at a much faster rate than the second and third world countries. There are usually reasons for this outside of just the way it is and we aren't responsible for that. This Idea that we can make the world better, in spite of the world is what created the colonial mentality that is pretty much the reason for the anger of the Middle eastern countries. Is there any part of that culture that we've not tried to tweak and we've got a bloody nose every time we tried. That might have been only in the last several years, but it's hear now and we have to deal with them.

I sincerely hope you are not including Australia as a second or third world country....

If we take in the refugees, each one needs to be vetted and brought here on a highly temporary basis and then sent to the safe zones we will set up  around Syria once those have been established.

It came out of England which is a western country. I'm not talking Geological West but the equivilant as far as industrialization.  America came out of England and a lot of our culture came from there. America, canada and Australia are all industrialized country's and are on par with each other. Thus Western Countries.
