"What I mean is that many Christians have rejected the idea that marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that is about showing God's love to the world and bringing children into the world. Once you've thrown out that understanding, then the door is open to embrace same-sex marriage," Dr. Hill told CBN News.

:o - speechless!

*good video though.

It is the lack of knowledge of the Word of God. Without the Word of God in their hearts, they are open to be deceived.

Some just know but choose to hear their flesh, this corrupted world, and lies.

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness" - Romans 1:18

Many people talk about same-sex relationship being forced to be normal and accepted by society. But fornication is a common thing already, most members of the society just accept it as normal and many are deceived to believe it is not sin, and those who do not practice it is put to shame by them. Soon, same-sex marriage may be at the same or similar level.

"Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
But he who endures to the end shall be saved." - Matthew 24:11-13

This is very sad.

We were having this discussion the other day in our Church. A lot of this happens due to lack of understanding of Holiness of God. When we do not understand that, we think certain things are "okay". As long as it does not hurt someone, it is okay. It is personal business. They are created that way. All these excuses come because they take God's holiness out of picture.

Likely they've been raised on what has been called the Osteenification of Christianity.  Very sad that these young people really don't know they're really not following the faith of God in Christ.

Do young 20 somethings seriously have to see the words explicitly in Scripture in order to understand that anything other than male female unions are wrong? I mean, it's as if they need to see it in bold print - "same sex must not marry" in order to accept it.

Just not studying and searching the Bible really.

Young "christians" that go against the word of God will perish for lack of knowledge. They have created for themselves a christ that suits their fallacies. They enjoy the fruit of their easy believe-ism. :(

2 Timothy4…2Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…

All the warnings of false teachers and false teachings means nothing if one does not read scripture for themselves.  We find ourselves in a society that embraces the "if it feels good do it" mentality.  It isn't just the younger generation to blame, they are coming from a generation that more than 50% inside the church divorce, and the understanding of what a covenant of marriage is all about holds no meaning as a result of this.  So what other result could we have expected than to find the offspring of that generation even more confused about a marriage covenant based on the poor example so many of them experienced firsthand.

I agree that divorce in the church is epidemic  but divorced parents  do not go hand and hand  to homosexuality.  The two have absolutely nothing to do with each other.   Both are wrong but one is breaking a covenant before God and the other is sinning against ones own flesh.

The question pertained to young people and that is how I personally answered. I do agree that the "if it feels good do it" applies because people will "expect" in a church  how one brings them.  ie gimics, mood enhancers such as lights, rock music, etc...> the world coming in to the church; seeker friendly easy believe-ism

We are in the last days. Apostasy is rampant.  People want their ears tickled. They dont want their ears tickled because their parents are divorced. We come to God on our own. We cant blame society for our lack of faith or errors in our faith.

blessings :)
