Has anyone brought up the fact that there is a lot of looting going on?

No, in Texas we are shooting them with bird shot and salt. they are busy picking beebees and salt rock out if their backsides showing the pictures of our meaness on social media and whining how we dared to shot them for looding. yesterday a guy was selling cases of water for $20 to rescuers and a truck load of guys took his sign off and put a free sign on it. stood there and gave the water away, they got cheered tho, not shot.

A guy was going to peoples houses saying he needed food and then robbing them at gun point got knocked out by a 78 year old grandma day before yesterday.

My freind Art is running live stock rescue out of Conroe fair grounds said a group of thugs were going through breaking into the horse trailers and they drug them through the gravel on a rope behind horses. Not sure about that one thou Art can spin a yarn. But the cattlemen i know that are there would do it.

my fiance is a fire fighter does swift water rescue. He has been down their rescuing people for 3 days. He told me that some guys from the cajun navy out of Lousiana took a couple guys that were looting for a ride behind their boat before they turned them over to law enforcement. The guys were all crying, cop just put them in the car and sent cajuns back to work.

My fiance said there are looters but they are getting just deserves more often then not.

Alot of the Houston swift water rescue is being pulled off and sent to Louisiana, they got some problems there too. If you live in Houston. fyi rescuers think you mayor is useless (to say it nicely) and does more harm then good.

Have a friend who lives there that told me that the Sheriff in his county told him and his neighbor if they caught anyone looting in their neighborhood to shoot them....

That's what I'm hearing too.  And they will be facing longer sentences if arrested.  There are groups with guns out in the subdivisions so it just might get ugly.

I think Mayor Turner made the right call.  Can you imagine millions on the roads as they flooded?  I've evacuated before and it's bumper to bumper for fifty miles at least.  The water came up too quickly to do that this time.  We've had twenty deaths already and almost all of them drowned in vehicles.

One thing I'll say is all the rescue operations have been one big rebuke to all the racial tensions in America that were being built up, up to this point.

Exactly right.  I'm watching black, white, hispanic, asian and arab Houstonians working together right now.  We have 30,000 people in shelters with no problems getting along.  Tragedy is no respecter of color, religion or language.  The media morons need to be ignored; they don't live out here in the real world anyway.  I'm proud of my city and my fellow Texans.

And our neighbors to the south offer a hand to Texas; bless them too.
