Secrete? You have a problem? Need medical advice? That is all I will post on here so I do not derail it.

If the husband was sick at the time. I would not see it as being his fault. There would be nothing to apology for.

(but that is a strange story and I wonder what kind of sickness would have caused him to hurt his wife as he ran out of the house)

Ladies.  Here's one for you.  No mens answers please.

The Event.

An event that supposedly happened between twenty and twenty five years ago.  Unremembered by the husband, but remembered by the wife.  Hubby was sick and supposedly attacked his wife, slamming her to one side as he roared out of the house.   She got bruised, but he has no memory of the event....

The Question.

How is a person supposed to repent of an event he does not even remember?  If I did that, I'm sorry?   Well that won't work.  I don't remember doing that but I'm sorry anyway?   No.   Treat her like the queen she is...Yeah!   But the supposed event still gets in the way because you never apologized for it or repented of it.

I wonder how many men are in the doghouse for such things.  Once he winds up in the doghouse for a not remembered event, there is no way out.

What do you say?  I've seen this situation twice now, in the last couple years.

Don't know the details of this situation........but one possibility is that he had a high fever.......high fevers can cause hallucinations and strange dreams and reacting to them as though they are real........he might have had a high fever and also been half asleep at the time, and that's why he doesn't remember.  Hopefully he is sorry that he hurt his wife, because it must have been shocking for her, even though he doesn't remember it.  If a person killed someone while sleepwalking, but didn't remember it,  they would hopefully be remorseful when someone told them what happened.  In any case, after talking about it in a right spirit with her husband, whether he apologizes or not..........I would advise that she forgive him and let it go, and not hold it against him, and take it to the Lord if she is carrying any fear or other residual effects like trust issues after the incident.......some men are more or less empathetic than others.  I hope this explanation about high fevers will be helpful for her in dealing with this, if it fits his particular illness.

That happen to my husband once. He had the flu. He woke up and told me to call the guy he works with because they won't let him get on the train to go to work. He was awake and serious about it too. I was like "what?" But he kept telling me to call his work partner cause they won't let him on the train!  Wasn't funny at the time but it is now. :24:
