Being in Australia, how familiar are you with the FBI? And, yes, ISIS claims any horrible act that they believe builds them up.  Please check news reports.

It is a fallacy that people keep repeating.

ISIS took credit for the shooting at a Manila casino in June even though they had nothing to do with it.

I listened to the brother’s 2nd interview today. sniff sniff..didn’t pass.

In the 1st interview he knew nothing of his brother, today a few details slipped out.

In the first interview he was in shock, his brother just killed 50 plus people.

And I thought I was the jaded one

I posted 2 recent examples in another thread where isis claimed responsibility and it was proven that they were not responsible. Gator posted a third example. So it is not a fallacy that keeps getting repeated. The only fallacy that keeps getting repeated is that everytime isis claims responsibility they are responsible.

I really haven't had time to look into any of that....   we've been on the road for a month.

Here is a good article on some things about the shooter and the shooting.

http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-las-vegas-shooting-20171005-story.html

Highlights include:

He researched other large attendance outdoor concerts in other cities.

The aforementioned shots in the gas tanks.

that was a remote operative that claimed that and not an official claim from the leadership of the Islamic State.   I haven't seem anywhere that an official claim was raised.

As for the valium aspect, he was prescribed valium in 2016, then again on june 21. For the amount of pills he was prescribed in 2016 and june 21, he would long since have run out of pills before the shooting. Given how few they were, and given how IF it affects aggression, it affects impulsive aggression, not premeditated aggression, it seems unlikely that was a factor. What could be a factor is WHY he was prescribed the medication in the first place. The doctor has not stated and likely cannot release that information due to privacy laws at this time.

Sorry, but we are just getting silly now.

people are desperate for this to be ISIS, can't be a rich white guy acting on his own.  That does not fit the narrative
