And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: .... and Terah died in Haran.' (Gen 11:31-32) Praise God! (Gen.12:1-3) Praise God! (The Holy Spirit by Stephen in Acts 7, tells us the reason why they started from Ur (Gen. 11:31-32, Acts 7:4), and shows us how earthly relationships may hinder a perfect obedience to God's call. Until Abram's father Terah, an idolater, died, the obedience was not complete. And Abram took Sarai his wife, .. and Lot his brother's son, .... and all their substance that they had gathered, ...... and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.' Not sure I'm following correct procedure in posting this scripture, but just want to thank our Father for this powerful verse! Read it as if I had never 'seen' it before. And I hadn't!
