Salvation through the Catholic Church is a difficult topic to understand for many.  Many of you don't understand what the Church is teaching, so I will once again try to enlighten you.  The Catholic Church has always taught that there will only be salvation through ONE Church.  Look at Mathew 16:18-19. Jesus Christ says very clearly "And I also say to you that you Peter, and on this rock I will build MY CHURCH, (not churches), and the gates of hades (hell) shall not prevail against it.  And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and what ever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

There will only be salvation through ONE Church.  Christ makes this very clear. 

The next point about Catholic doctrine is that it can never change, but can evolve.  So the Church still teaches that there will only be salvation through one Church, but does not say that if you are not Catholic you won't have a chance at salvation.  It will obviously be more difficult since other churches don't have the sacraments and graces.  This is what the Church teaches.  She is not damning everyone else to hell like horizoneast, and other would like you to believe.  I have told horizoneast this several times and he either doesn't get it, or is only going to continue to bash the Catholic church.

Steve,my auntie Rose 33 years ago was a Madonna worshipper big time,and when I got saved and then all my family too( His grace) she was mad at us....believe me we had heated confrontations,not "little flowery conversation" because I was repeating her that unless she would be born again she would go in hell etc...I mean,she was a "sweet" person but not saved,but man,she was a very very devout Rcc..ok?

One day her daughter got very sick and Auntie ROSA came to us desperate,crying and asking for prayer,for a miracle,OK? wht didn't she go to her Rcc priest?why the madonna couldn't do amiracle for her?

Well,to cut a long story short,my mother and me( we were ex wishy washy rcc,but now saved and spitit filled) well,we paryed at distance and had a prophetic word that He had healed her daughter,,and guess what>|? Rosa went home and found her daughter perfectly healed.JESUS DID IT.

Guess what? Auntie Rose got converted and ALL HER FAMILY,husband and 4 children!

and when in 2001 I went to Rome for an holiday after 7 years in australia,I met with ZIA(auntie) Rosa and family and they are going strong in Jesus 33 years after!!

So,mate,the Glorygoes exscusively to CHRIST,so please can you stop bashing me just because I am expressing my thoughts in a passionate way?

Well, that depends.

Are you doing this to vent your frustrations? Or are you actually hoping to help someone overcome their ildolatries and false doctrines?

If your intent is the former, then you're doing just fine.

If your intent is the latter, then present yourself in a way that people will actually want to respond to.
