You mean posts in this thread?

Thank you

Actually, no. LOL. Pick one. Any one. And if it blesses and encourages you, then read another. What you are reading is not “my” message. Forc38 years as a Christian, I asked the exact same question you asked. How? How do I stop sinning? And for 38 years, I heard, “pray, fast, believe, go to church, read the Bible, get an accountability partner, think on other things, and all to no avail. Eleven years ago, I was so discouraged I felt like giving up. I literally had nothing else to try. And then God appared to me, and shared with me what I share here. And it works!  And if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask, and I will do my very best to answer.

Thanks,

Gideon

It is just a matter of faith. The person's heart must desire a clean heart, desire the Holy Spirit.

"Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God." - Matthew 5:8

It is a choice that must be done in faith from the heart, with no doubt.

"But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;" - James 1:6-7

It is an acknowledgment that sin is a waste of time and living according to the flesh profits nothing indeed.

"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day." - John 6:44

It is a choice fully motivated by love, love for the light, love for the Holy Spirit.

"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love." - Galatians 5:6

When people are unsure or resist to submit to Christ and His righteousness they will remain slaves to flesh/sin and stuck in their self-righteousness.

It is a resistance triggered by pride and/or fear.

"So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.
    Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness;
there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
“For many are called, but few are chosen.”" - Matthew 22:12-14

Amen, dear brother. Great insights.

The hard part is coming to the conclusion that despite our best efforts, we cannot love God with all of our hearts. Nor can we love others as we love ourselves. CANNOT. Human pride and self confidence dies hard. It simply goes against the grain of our old nature.

So it is when we are at our lowest, feeling like failures that we are finally ready to do the one thing God asks of us. ONLY BELIEVE. And when we do, to our amazement, Christ in us begins to do.... and easily.... what we could not do.

When we finally learn that they that are in the flesh CANNOT please God, we are finally ready to understand the full and glorious meaning of “Nothing profits but a new creature.” Amen.

Thnk you so much for your uplifting words.

Gids

Amen......and that is why it takes trust/faith to allow Him to take away all the props of our old nature that we had been leaning on to survive and get by in life.  Repentance is key.....it prepares the way for the Lord.....ploughing the soil of our hearts, breaking up the hard clods.

 Job 41:25

..............by reason of breakings they purify themselves.

 Hos 10:12

Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.

These are very true words. Over 30 years ago, the Lord had me pen a message, my forst. It was titled Repentance-Only Hope for a Sleeping Bride. I knew something was critically wrong with our modern take on the Christian message. But if a man is only told to repent, without telling him what do do afterwards, he is left depressed and without hope. And that is exactly what happened to me for I did not receive my next message for  21 years. I entered my dark years and thought I would not survive..

Thank God He had mercy on me and gave me the second half of the cure... repent..... and BELIEVE.

And what is God asking us to believe? The two truths we are told it is imperative we know in Romans 6.

First, we must know that when Christ died, so did we.... our old sin loving natures.

Secondly, we must know that when Christ rose from the dead, He brought us up with Him to walk in newness of life.

Finally, with these two facts firmly before us, God asks us for a leap of faith. He asks that we appropriate these general truths as OUR truths. That is what we are doing when we reckon ourselves dead to sin and alive unto Him. And when we do, having come to hate our old selfish nature that has no ability to please God, to our amazement, we find God is no longer with us, He is IN us, and then, to our utter amazement, He begins to cause us to obey Him, just as He promised in Ezekiel 36.  Glory to God!

I pray everyone listen. You do not need to do one thing.... not one...before putting off your old man by faith. You can do it before you close your eyes to sleep. Listen, you cannot clean yourself up enough to be worthy of it. Don’t you see? That is the very reason why He is giving it to you! LOL. Do not wait another moment. Newness of life is simply amazing. FREE INDEED!

You say your faith is weak? Perfect! You have just enough! I urge you, raise your shield of faith and believe that you are new, right now, today. You see, you do not become new when you have enough faith to believe it. If you love the Lord, you already ARE new, and have been since the day you were first saved. You have, like all of us, simply been blinded to that incredible truth. Why can we believe something so incredible? Because it has already happened!

In these last days, God is restoring our vision, and our tears of repentance are allowing us to see what God’s purpose is for us. We will not go our defeated, worldly, lukewarm, bored, empty and hiding our secret sins from others, as they do the same to us. The church is about to rise up in purity, joy and overflowing love and truly become prepared to meet our husband. Eternity is calling our names. And as we all awake, we will both match and surpass the glory given to the early church.

Sound too good to be true? Would you expect anything less from our God? Onward and upward!

Blessings,

     Gideon

What did God tell you to do?

He simply asked me if in all my trying  if I had ever done what He had instructed me to do through Paul. Then Hr removed the scales from my eyes to clearly see what had eluded me for 38 years. It was in Romans 6. Paul told us, after KNOWING that we died with Christ and also rose again as new creatures, to appropriate it as MY  truth.

I needed no further explanation. In that incredible moment, I spoke. Out loud. Loudly  out loud. I spoke loud enough for all the demons in hell to hear me. I spoke loud enough for all the angels in Heaven to hear me. But I was speaking so that I would hear the truth...my truth.

I declared that my old nature was dead. I put it off by faith and put on my new man. I reckoned myself now dead to sin and alive unto God. I confessed that sin no longer held power over me, that O was no longer in the flesh, and owed it nothing.

Why out loud?  Faith comes by hearing, amen? It matters not if it is your voice, my voice, a voice on the radio. If it is truth, truth believed sets us free. And......it worked. God proved that night that He indeed IS the God who cannot lie, and that all the promises made to us are yea and amen.

It is now eleven years and counting, and God has and continues to change me from the inside out. Whereas once I was an angry legalist, serving a hard God, addicted to porn, religious but unrighteous, despairing of life, hating myself, to be able to begin to see Christ’s very nature imprinted on me, making me bear fruit where once there was none, is so incredible that  I cannot hardly even put it into words.

I pray you take these words to heart, for this message is not mine, but God’s to all of us.

Blessings, Goldie

Ah, yes, but not as a command, but as a promise! God has spoken to us clearly that Je will indeed cause us to walk in true obedience. He is the one who keeps us from falling. All His promises are yea and amen. And in this glorious hour, we are about to believe it. We have tried to be both the clay and the potter and we have failed miserably. We are about to see our God roll up His sleeves and show us what HE can do.

Prepare to be amazed.

Brother, if you can expound on what you are confused about, I will be glad to see if I can help. You will, however, find, if you read any of my other posts I have been sharing, that they might make it more clear for you.

Blessings,

Gideon
