I see nothing wrong with piercings. I got my labret pierced a month before my 21st birthday.

Also, I find piercings on a woman (not just the ears, mind you) to be attractive.

Tell me all who advocate piercings and tattoos, do they do good for the flesh or the spirit? Are you satisfying the flesh or the spirit?

Hello Larry,

Tattoos and piercing depends upon the reason that you do it. Before my full conversion in Lord Jesus Christ, I had a tattoo, placed on my back, with someone's name, I was deeply in

love with this man. Found out this was the man, whom He had chosen for me...and we went through awful fighting, splitting and seperation, now we are friends and the care is starting to come again, Praise Lord Jesus Christ.

What was spoken deep into my heart, was to put His name above the tattoo, which is of a white dove, inside a red love heart, and has blue forget me not flowers around the name of Jesus and the man's name, is Luke, and it means Vision...on the other side He is giving it to me to put Serenity Grace, this is a covenant agreement between Him and me, that is tattooed on my back. It is about redeeming, what was done in the first place, and so we will have a cross with a white rose wrapped around it, underneath the heart, dove and flowers when we can afford to get it done...also have a blue butterfly above the name of Jesus and the butterfly I was shown was the sign of the beautiful reconciler that He is, the reconciler of splits, He stands in the midst of them, like the body in the midst of a butterfly and its wings...and in Him they fly together....

I also had seven earings in my ear, four on my right, and three on my left...When I was young I did it for self centred reasons. When I went through a Seventh Day Adventist phase and before coming out of this cult, my wearing jewellery went, after doing a 70 week restoration of the Holy Temple in Him, and after the fire, He gave me my jewellery back to wear praise God, of a beautiful gold necklace with a cross that looks like a stained glass window when you hold it up to the light, I love wearing the wedding rings He gave to me deep in my Heart to wear.

The earings are now about being pierced for Him and each one, is the piercing of the seven of Him, Eyes and Horns, Soveriegn Grace. It is interesting that when I was young I pierced my ears seven times, and now He uses it for His purpose, and it is a sign and when I catch a glimpse of it, it touches me and some have asked why I wear seven earings...and now I can say in my heart I truly wear my earings for Him, as He was pierced for me, I wear mine now as piercings I have in Him. Praise Lord Jesus Christ, amen

Serenity Grace

Hi Serenity,

There is so much in your post. If I might ask a few questions.

What do you mean by "full conversion"? I was converted once and was fully convert at that time. The bible speaks of one faith, one baptism, one Lord.

What was spoken deep into my heart, was to put His name above the tattoo
Who told you to put that tattoo on your body and how do you know. Chapter and verse would be the best reference for God never goes against His Word.

70 week restoration of the Holy Temple in Him
Just what is a 70 week restoration? The bible does not speak of anything such as this. Again chapter and verse please.

I wear mine now as piercings I have in Him.
If you are saying that you are worshiping God the way you do how do you know that what you do is in fact honoring/worshipping God?

Mt 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Do you drive a car?

Chapter and verse please.

Do you use electricity?

Chapter and verse please.

If you're not going to do something because it's not mentioned in the Bible, maybe you should become Amish.

I have known people with tatoos who had the biggest hearts, who love the Lord, and live pure Godly lives. They pay their bills/taxes, and take their children to church every Sunday. They are faithful to their wives, and there is nothing to indicate that they are somehow displeasing to the Lord just because they have a tatoo, or a pierced ear.

You know I totally agree Shilo.

I think though that in our culture in general tattoos are part of the party culture. But I think though because they are permanent and hard to remove, we should really welcome those who have them and are in church.

But visit a tattoo parlor sometime, look to see if it is a place a Christian would want to be, look at what most of the tattoo

I beg your pardon arsonist, but tattoos and piercings are mentioned in the bible and nothing good is said about them.

On the other hand various vehicles are mentioned that were used to transport people from one place to another. I think I can safely extrapolate that to the use of cars and planes of today.

Increased technology is also in the bible. And the increase still more is told in the book of Daniel.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
