Isaiah 40:22 (AV)
22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Planetary cosmology.

Galactic cosmology regarding the circuit of the sun around the center of the galaxy:

Psalm 19:4–6 (AV)
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

The prophecy against Tyre (an island city off the coast) was breached by building a causeway

out to it. And though it's plentiful aquifer still runs to this day, it is barren... a place for drying

fishing nets for millennia...

Ezekiel 26 (AV)
1 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, now she is laid waste:
3 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.
4 And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock.
5 It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations.
6 And her daughters which are in the field shall be slain by the sword; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
7 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.
8 He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field: and he shall make a fort against thee, and cast a mount against thee, and lift up the buckler against thee.
9 And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.
10 By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach.
11 With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garrisons shall go down to the ground.
12 And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water.
13 And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.
14 And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
15 Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?
16 Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at thee.
17 And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it!
18 Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy departure.
19 For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;
20 When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living;
21 I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord GOD.

The Bible repeatedly displays its Author transcends the laws

of physics and time (able to tell the exact details of the future

before it happens).

The Bible has never undergone rewrites like the rest of religious materials

have. The Bible has undergone criticism  down through history but never

been disproved.

If ever there was a document that is evidently written by God...

If the OP still refuses to believe...

that's entirely their prerogative

because God made it that way.

He has given you a choice.

On 5/13/2020 at 3:59 PM, Paul James said:

God has said all He is going to say in the written Scriptures.  They are the complete record of it.

There are those who say that they are trusting the Holy Spirit to teach them, rather than to study the Scriptures; but there is an error in that, because if a person is depending on an inner voice to give them teaching about the things of God, they are depending on something which is fallible and unreliable.  This is because nine out of ten inner voices and impressions are from the world, flesh, or the devil.   In fact, they are trusting in their own perception of what they believe the Holy Spirit is saying to them.

Also, others are placing their dependence on man's teaching about doctrine, and this too is fallible and unreliable, because man is fallible and is prone to error.

The only reliable foundation for doctrine and faith is the written Scripture.  God has said it, and His Word is true.

The role of the Holy Spirit is to teach us from the Scriptures and to give us insight into what the Scriptures mean in terms of everything that pertains to life and godliness.   This means that when we have questions about the ways of God, and His will for us, the Holy Spirit will lead us right back to the Scriptures.  As Lester Sumrall said, "If you want to know the will of God, read the Bible.   If you want to do the will of God, do the Bible!"

Most false teachers who have gone into heretical error are those who have gained "new revelation" directly from the Holy Spirit, and have ignored the Scriptures to validate their "revelation", or they have cobbled together random verses to make the Bible say what they want it to say.

This is why I have no dependence on extra-Biblical voices or impressions.  If I get thoughts about the things of God, I go back to the Scriptures and search them to see whether the thoughts are coming from God or from somewhere else.

I do have a little difficulty with your opinion. There is a big difference between listening to your own inner thoughts and those of the Holy Spirit. When my wife calls me on the phone, I don't need to wonder who it is, I instantly recognize her voice. The same holds true with the Holy Spirit, if we know Him, we don't need to question who is speaking to us.

I'm one that believes once one has an encounter with the Holy Spirit His voice will always be recognized.

I do agree that we need to be well versed in scripture, but I know God is still speaking to His people today, most just aren't listening or paying attention.

I made that comment a year ago.  Since then, I have read a book by a very mature, experienced Bible teacher who has shown me that the Holy Spirit does speak to us today, without what is being said having to be added to the New Testament.

When you think of the thousands of prophecies spoken in the New Testament early churches, only two by Agabus got into the Scriptural record.  So, if all those prophecies and revelations that believers received, other than what the Apostles received and recorded as the New Testament, then those prophecies and revelations did not have the direct inspiration than what was recorded as Scripture.

So, the Holy Spirit does speak to us, but what He does say is not the type of information that needs to be added to the New Testament, although what He does say is in harmony with the Scriptures.   He will never say anything that is non-Biblical, although He is quite free to say things that are extra-Biblical.

He can say, "I see that you desire to move from your present city and move to be closer to family members in [such in such] a city.  I have no problem with that, and I will be there to meet you when you get there."

He can also say to a man about a relationship: "This is not the woman for you"  because He can see things that would cause problems and future heartbreak that we cannot see.   But for another relationship He could assure a male believer by saying, "This is the woman for you".  And vice versa for women believers.

But He would never say to a man, "I will allow you to commit yourself to a civil union that that man"  because it is clearly non-Bibical.  He will never say, "You can take ownership of your neighbour's car because he doesn't need it any more"  because it is a breach of one of the Commandments.

When we know the principles that God has communicated in the written Scriptures, we can immediately know the difference between when what is coming to us is the voice of the Holy Spirit, and a voice from another spirit;  even though the voices may sound exactly the same.   We can only know the voice of Jesus in the Person of the Holy Spirit when we fully know the Jesus of the Gospels.

The problem is that the voice of the Holy Spirit, and of a lying spirit, and our own thoughts, appear exactly the same.  The only way to distinguish between them is to be experienced and mature in the Scriptures, and as the Apostle to the Hebrews says: "But solid food is for full-grown men, for those whose senses and mental faculties are trained by practice to discriminate and distinguish between what is morally good and noble and what is evil and contrary either to divine or human law" (Hebrews 5:14).

If people don't read and study the Bible, then they have no way of knowing what spirit the voice is coming from.  A lying spirit is an expert at mimicking the voice of the Holy Spirit.  This is why we have to test all things and hold fast that which is good.

Well sir then we do agree. Jesus was accused of doing miracles through the power of Satan, His response was "a house divided against itself will not stand." Evil can mimic good but the fruit will be bad and that is very easy to recognize. If what you believe doesn't line up with what Jesus taught, then it is false.

Someone said it is ok to hate other because of Ecclesiastes 3:8 "a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace." That is how Satan can take scripture out of context and distort what Christ taught.

We just need to seek a closer walk with Him each day.

Thank you for your response, and God bless.

Quote

"Unless You Prove Bible Right I Stay Non-Believer"?

There are many proofs that the Holy Scripture is perfect.

One of them is the impossibility of finding someone that doesn't follow the principles of the Holy Scripture and has true peace, love and relish.

Everyone that encroach the principles of the Holy Scripture, soon or later will suffer the consequences of their acts.
